The Scope Special Coverage: Drifter Activity in Tabbetzur
Tabatsur: Gate Closure, Drifter Activity, and Republic Fleet Intervention

The Tabatsur stargates unexpectedly shut down, followed by reports of increased drifter activity and wormhole signatures. Republic engineers restored the gates, revealing dramatic environmental changes. A Republic Fleet engaged Deathless Circle structures linked to the Warden in Zarzac. Capsuleers turned against the Republic fleet, leading to its destruction and the looting of data, potentially unlocking the Warden's secrets.
Gate Closure and Initial Reports from Tabatsur
00:07:1300:07:13 Greetings, New Eden. This is Alton Haveri, reporting live for The Scope. You join us in the system of Afikatlan, at the stargate that would normally be connecting this solar system to the neighboring system of Tabatsur.
00:07:30 The gates connecting Tabitzer to the rest of New Eden unexpectedly went offline this morning. Shortly after 1100 hours, New Eden Standard Time, Republic engineers are working to bring the gates back online and hope to return them to normal functionality soon.
00:07:46 Republic sources have attributed the gate outages to drifter interference. Drifters do not require gates to travel between solar systems, so it is unclear at this time if this was a deliberate disruption or merely a side effect of some kind of alteration to the system of Tabitzer itself.
00:08:05 Reports we are receiving from inside Tabitzer indicate rising drifter and sleeper activity within the system, as well as a marked increase in the number of wormhole cosmic signatures. There are also rumors that Deathless agents have been spotted, leading to speculation that the Deathless Circle may have established a clandestine foothold somewhere in the system. Please stay with us. The Scope will relay any breaking news as the situation develops.
00:09:11 Republic sources have notified us that the Stargaste Tabitzer will be brought back online any minute now.
Dramatic Changes in Tabatsur and Republic Fleet Arrival
00:14:2200:14:22 The affected gates are coming online now, and we will soon be receiving our first look inside Tabasur since its unusual activity began.
00:14:42 As you can see, it appears that the environment of Tabitzer has undergone some dramatic changes. Readings indicate that the interference is similar in type to the unusual effects encountered in systems recently assaulted by the drifters around New Eden.
00:15:00 After a preliminary analysis, experts are saying that the alterations to the system of Tabasur by drifter forces are far more extensive than previously witnessed in drifter crisis assaults and may even be irreversible.
00:18:00 It has been reported that a flotilla of Republic Fleet Lancer Dreadnaughts have entered the system.
Republic Forces Attack Deathless Circle Structures
00:23:0200:23:02 Data tags on the structures indicate that they may be managing remote connections with a mysterious object in Zarzac known as the Warden.
00:24:06 Republic forces have opened fire on the Deathless Circle structures. This is the first recorded direct attack on a Deathless installation by any of New Eden's major factions.
00:26:03 It appears that the Deathless Circle structures have been destroyed.
Conflict and Aftermath: The Fight for the Warden's Secrets
00:29:5400:29:54 Deathless ships are landing in the site. At this point conflict seems inevitable.
00:31:51 The Structure Wrecks appear to have been looted for valuable data resources. Could these be the key to gaining access to the Warden? If so, many factions throughout New Eden would be keen to get their hands on them.
00:51:48 Although the Deathless Circle forces were defeated, it came at a high cost to the Min Matar fleet when the Capsuleers present turned on the Republic fleet vessels as well, resulting in their total destruction.
00:52:11 The Deathless presence in this site may have been destroyed, but we suspect this is only the beginning of the fight for access to their Warden's systems.
00:52:28 Due to the now known connection between these structures and the Warden in Zarzac, some experts are already speculating that the stolen data may be key to gaining access to the mysterious object. If so, many factions throughout New Eden would be keen to get their hands on them. Although the deathless presence in this system has been destroyed, we suspect this is only the beginning of the fight for access to the Warden's systems. And what is to become of Tabatsur itself?
00:52:55 Now that the drifters seem thoroughly entrenched in the system, are they here to stay? These and many other questions remain, and no doubt we shall learn more in the coming days and weeks. Thank you, New Eden, for your time and attention. As always, The Scope will continue to bring you the most reliable news from around the cluster. This is Alton Haveri, reporting for The Scope.
