ALGS Year 4 Split 2 Pro League: EMEA Kickoff und regionale Dynamiken
00:09:0200:09:02 Well, happy Sunday, gamers. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. And yes, I know I'm not Mr. Rogers. Love the man. I'm Mr. Rain Day, though. I'll be your host for today as we kick off our second day of an action-packed weekend of the ALGS. The Global Series is back after a month crowning our champion in Los Angeles at the Galen Center and Reject Winity sending a message back to the other regions. It's time for EMEA and North America to answer the call on our two-day bonanza.
00:09:31 And guess what? Day one was amazing. We'll get into that recap and we'll look forward to the games about to start here today in EMEA. But first, let me introduce my talent alongside with me today. Spider Tiff is back in the building and I know it's got to feel good to kick off Split 2. Oh, you know it, Rain Day. I am so ready to kick off Split 2. But I want to think back to the way you just opened this entire broadcast, bringing up Mr. Rogers. Are you trying to date us? Because it's been a minute and honestly, I think you need a sweater on.
00:09:58 Listen, don't let me start talking about Barney, okay? Because I can go way, way back. We're not getting into the childhood shows, though. There's a lot of serious action about to occur. Dia, you know better than anybody how much EMEA is ready to go toe-to-toe with anybody in their region and internationally, and they're excited to kick off their second split.
00:10:44 We get to see that once again. I'm really enjoying being back in Split 2. It's great to have you as well, man. All of you looking great, ready to go. We got some red, the black, the brown, the blue. I love it. The style is there. Let's hope Amia can follow up with the style of play. If it's anything like yesterday, we will be in good hands because yesterday felt like a brand new start for a region that has had a couple of similar themes heading into the splits, heading into those lands, and it feels like maybe this is the moment, the reset.
00:11:12 der Great Reset von EMEA, zu star in der eigenen Show, zu schien durch die Pack. Und Next Up, so appropriately named, certainly was Next. They had a fantastic day, and really, I think, schined a light on the potential that they have. Ultimately, though, it would be Gaming Gladiators, who would take the W, and they would do it in amazing fashion. But Tiff, EMEA hat a lot of stars showcase themselves in Yesterday's Action.
00:11:41 Yeah, there was a multitude of teams that came in to grab a win. We opened things up with players, the former Red Dragon roster and one member of CyberCats kind of coming through in that opening round. But you said there was a lot of themes. And one thing that I've noticed in particular is passion, passion UA, next up, lots of energy that has been coming through. But just alone on day number one, we locked...
00:12:04 in a 100% Legend pick on Bangalore, 97.5% on Bloodhound, and that personality that Dia mentioned really shined through on some of our Controller Legend selects. And honestly, seeing Gaming Gladiators grab that Day 1 victory, that is going to be so powerful to kick things off, guys. This is the former Emit roster that got picked up just moments before the regular season start.
00:12:27 D, ich meine, es ist ein Thema. Es ist Passion. Passion, Next Up, Go Next.
00:13:33 Vielen Dank.
00:14:02 Zane, Ampy, and Nasky together again. This is now Zane. After his intro at KCP really had people just with their eyes wide thinking, is this guy for real? 07 trying to bring him back in and start a new trajectory for themselves. They look good at LAN. Let's see if they can keep it up. Jay Savage as well from the team of Forge Gang that split up.
00:14:20 Phoenix goes his own way, joins the full English. Jay Savage joins FA Kids with Zidane and Kiner. We know Zidane's a shooter. He is an incredible player, 1v1 player as well. Brings a lot to that team. Jay Savage and his experience, I feel like this is going to be a team to watch. Nine Lies Esports, Lifan goes his separate way, and they have a new three as well. Vifes, Jay Hanzo, and Rocca Faka back in business here. We'll see if they can find the synergy that...
00:14:46 Obviously, a team like that needs to surprise a lot of us and have some good results here in these next few weeks. Exoclan, though, this is a big one. Element 6, no longer E6, now Exoclan. They take Brynn from the Full English Slayers as well, alongside K. Swinney, as Slab and CJ Racked go down. And it's a brand new look for a team that is qualified for every single LAN that we have had. A lot to say there. And, of course, K. Swinney, he didn't hold back. He had to...
00:15:15 Let us know how he felt about this upcoming split and what he thinks his team can do.
00:16:4900:16:49 Okay, Swinney, very happy about it. Groups A, they had their debut yesterday, but it's time for C to debut on this Sunday morning. And for me, when you look at Group A and C, while there are a lot of teams to mention, Tiff, there's one that we have to talk about, and it's a team that usually leads the conversation as a top EMEA team, whether it's in their split or in international play. Of course, that's Alliance.
00:17:13 It's definitely Alliance. They've made a lot of fans all over the world. But when you look at their split one playoffs performance, that's not necessarily going to be indicative of something that this team is happy about. When you think back to the split one regular season.
00:17:27 Their first matchday was also a 14th place. Now, granted, they kicked things off with Yuki, bringing in Unlucky about halfway through that split one regular season. So now we're bringing back the boys together, Hackis, Unlucky, Effect, to see what they can do in general from the start. And they've been scrimming some really interesting legend comps. I'm talking Alter.
00:17:47 Bloodhound with effect. They're bringing in the Watson for their controller legend. Who knows what we're gonna get here today. But Dia, I know you've been keeping your eyes on someone who likes to cook. Maybe a little bit of 07 action?
00:17:58 This is by far, it's not just me. Globally, this is one of the favorite teams to watch. They've just had incredible personality. And 07 made a lot of waves, made a lot of new fans likely at this most recent LAN where they placed 15th. But we can't forget that regionally, they actually placed 5th just last split. And that was at the time when they were playing with Nags. Now they've swapped Nags out for Zayn. And that's going to tell a really interesting story because while Natsuki and Amphi are great,
00:18:49 Was the player just under 0 really fighting for most damage dealt during the year 3 championships? This is a player that you are going to want to keep your eyes on because he could very well take 07 from 5th to, well, I mean, there's really only that many more spaces you can go up.
00:19:06 Well, you know, I mean, that was a great kind of debut from him, and he was actually on the same team as Nags at that time, now replacing Nags on 07. So an interesting trajectory overlaps those two players have had. We wish them both luck as they get into it. But not only have the rosters changed or the players changed on those rosters, we've seen a new shift in the ALGS, and that's the POI draft. If you missed it, here's a video to get you caught up.
00:19:33 Prior to the Pro League regular season, each team receives a random assortment of draft picks per matchdays 1 through 9. The assortment is perfectly equal, meaning if a team receives the first draft pick, they'll also receive the 40th draft pick on that matchday. This draft style is called a snake draft, and the order of draft picks changes with each matchday, which means that teams may not always get their preferred POI.
00:20:00 On Draft Day, each team will make two draft picks, one Storm Point dropspot and one World's Edge dropspot. Strategizing is crucial, as dropspots on both maps are up for grabs at the same time. There will always be more dropspots than teams, which means that even if you're the last pick, you'll have multiple options to choose from. Once a POI is chosen, it's off-limits to all other teams for that match series. On Match Day...
00:20:27 Each team is dropped from an individual dropship above their drop spot. It is a whole new ALGS. While it's a whole new ALGS with a POI draft that you will see in today's action in just a few minutes as games are almost ready to start, there is something pretty similar. You might have noticed it at LAN or in our previous iterations of the ALGS. It's a chance for you to join Face It Watch. If you do so, you'll be able to track your favorite teams
00:21:44 It's time to work, Case, when he said it in that interview. And look, I'm ready to do so, too. So, Rain Day, please make sure that you're staying hydrated while you're relaxed watching all the Apex Legends action. Dia and I, we've got you, but I'm excited, Dia. How ready are you to jump back into EMEA? I know you were chatting at the top of the show. You were like, look, I have been waiting to see what is going to happen. And with Group C kind of making their debut today, in A, getting a repeat, you think we're going to see some increased action from A, maybe getting some things under wraps?
00:22:11 I suspect so, although I don't think that Group C is going to be a quiet starter of a group. Like we talked about, Alliance and 07 are already going to be really big names to start off the day. But then we factor in the fact that they've got Red Dragon up here, who qualified up to the Pro League from the Pro League Qualifier. They were the first place team from the Pro League Qualifier, and they've been smashing scrims. I don't think that's a team that's going to sort of ramp up slowly into the Pro League as well. This is a team that should be making some really
00:22:40 Ja.
00:22:43 Let's talk about those first couple of games. Let's pull up the map schedule and where we're going to be headed to. World's Edge going to kick things off for us for the first three maps. Then we'll jump back on over to Storm Point. Now, I was taking a gander at some of the zones that we've witnessed throughout the duration of Split 2. Now, granted, for NA and EMEA, it's only been two. But the majority of those zones are still going towards the north side. So let's see where some of our players decided they were going to prioritize for that POI draft. Now, I watched it live a few days ago.
00:23:12 Off the bat for World's Edge, Dia, 8 of the 10 first picks went straight to World's Edge with Exoclan, making sure that they locked in SkyWest, which to me has been the most favorite drop spot for World's Edge.
00:23:27 It really has it, especially for Exo, who used to be E6. Winning has been landing SkyWest forever, so I'm very glad to see them returning to that. I do hope that it is the start of a good couple of first games for them. Notably, however, Alliance going Lava Fissure is really interesting. Alliance are known for their Thermal Station drops. It's what put DSG on the map back when they were both contesting at Year 3 Champs. So to see them moving to Lava Fissure for the first day, I think we'll put a little...
00:23:56 ein bisschen der Fans auf der Back-Foot.
00:23:58 Oh, and honestly, we were talking about a couple of other. I had a chance to look more into Alliance at the top of the show, of course, but knowing that they had 10th and 31st pick in the draft, they went ahead and prioritized their World's Edge POI also, but they got Lava Fissure. Now, if you remember correctly, they had previously always went Thermal Station, where Kneecap took that ahead of them, and then 07 had previously grabbed Lightning Rod. They went for their Storm Point pick first, so that leaves Alliance there. Like, what are we going to get that?
00:24:52 Ja, so there's an interesting point to be made here, because 07 actually get to leverage something that I don't think a lot of other teams really thought about, and that's the power of social media. When it comes to these POI drafts, Natsuki is a very big personality, and he's already demonstrated that he can and will
00:25:09 So the fact is that to get, I would say, a bit of an edge in here, 07 actually managed to go for Stormpoint first. They picked Lightning Rudd in their very first pick of the draft, knowing that nobody would opt in to love a Siphon, since Maske had already declared, again, on social media, if you come to Siphon, we will just pick the other Siphon and we will fight you.
00:25:37 By declaring that, he's actually big braining the draft. He's playing a game that no one else is playing right now.
00:25:44 You know what? Hey, you got to do whatever you got to do. If it's the power of talking, yapping, let it ride. Congratulations. We'll see what that works like for you. But as we go through this flight, there's some other notable things here is no one decides to land Clima West. So DMS will have Climatizer to themselves, but stay healthy. Landing Survey Camp, now granted, that's not necessarily one of the most standoutish POIs by any means, but if you can grab Epicenter un...
00:26:10 So you can hit that rotation, because honestly, I land Survey a lot in Ranked, which says a lot about me, Dia. But there are a couple options that you can choose to go from there. You could really play Tunnel Side, but you have Navi in Sky East. So at least with Epicenter open, that loot path will be perfectly fine for them off the rip.
00:26:29 Certainly true. Survey and Epicenter have really been put together as POIs for quite a long time, and it ends up being a really nice source of consistency for teams that land there, because you're likely to get a beacon at one of the two spots, if not both of them. So when you are landing Survey Epi, while the loot might not be what a lot of people would have hoped for, you do have...
00:26:51 Plenty of options to give yourself some early game stability as well. You did mention that Navi are landing over at Sky East. I'm curious to see how Navi approached this because yesterday in North America I think we were seeing Sky East really mirror Survey Camp in a lot of ways and rely on those beacons as well because you don't want to fight a team over in Sky West. You're sort of pushed into an Eastern rotation.
00:27:12 Oh, I mean, that's a really good point. And I know we're going to sit here for a moment while we chat a couple of things while we get that lobby together for y'all. But I think it's a really strong moment when we talk about more specifically what we've been seeing correlated to some of the drop spots, because I think.
00:27:26 Granted, guys, when these POI drafts happen, they are in a very random number. Like, you don't know what pick you're going to get and how you're going to choose, whether you go World's Edge or Storm Point first. But for the majority of our EMEA lobby today, they went World's Edge. And I think it's a very powerful saying, because SkyWest, obviously, even in North America, has been the best one. But how do we correlate kind of our legend compositions in with what we're going to be witnessing from the drop spots that you're getting?
Legend Compositions, POI-Strategien und Team-Dynamiken im Fokus
00:27:5300:27:53 With Bangalore, 100% pick rate yesterday. Bloodhound, 97.5%. We're talking survey beacons galore, but then everyone else has been toggling between one of four controller legends. Whether it's Catalyst that has had the primary selection for the majority of our teams, but a lot of our teams here today, even Alliance, have been opting for the Watson instead.
00:28:12 Yeah, well, I mean, Watson is extremely powerful. I do think that in this meta, she's not nearly as strong as she used to be when Horizon was really prevalent in a lot of compositions. But with the rise of Fuse in EMEA as well, Watson does get a lot more value, giving you more stability as a team and the opportunity to spawn Arc Stars should you pick up the Falling Stars perk. So not really a surprise to see Watson, but I will say, Tiff, that at least from my perspective, Catalyst is a generally strong...
00:28:48 Oh, I mean, I think it's interesting. When you think of the Season 21 upheaval patch notes, they reworked Catalyst. And I think that's kind of revitalized that legend, right? We're reducing the cooldown on piercing spikes just by five seconds. And then they kind of reduce some of the perks. So for a lot of teams that are needing the Dark Veil for rotations or whatever it is, I think it's been interesting to see that come through. Looking at it, she was picked 42 times yesterday with a 35%. And you're right. Fuse was actually right underneath it.
00:29:18 I know there's one reason in particular that I've seen a lot about, but I'd like to think it's because Fuse can now gain access to Ring consoles. I think that's actually totally reasonable. It's really easy to get up to blue Evos. I mean, relatively speaking, you hit one crate, one scan, one anything.
00:30:24 First scan for you on the ring console, because I know I watched a little bit of the North America last night, and something that's to be said is if you can grab that first initial scan and start rotating in, and if your IGL per se just knows exactly where it's going to go. We had a lot of experience playing ring guesser at LAN together, so I would say that some of our first initial assumptions were going to be accurate, but of course, granted, we're here, we get to witness what's going to be happening when we look at World's Edge in particular, but I know we touched on the POI draft a little bit, but...
00:30:50 More specifically, teams that might not have gotten their first initial picks, Alliance got 10th and 31st. They had already had maybe their normal POIs taken from them. So to try and grab something, are you seeing a lot of teams that look for similar POIs that are in that normal rotation path for them? Because they locked in lava fissure. Yeah, I think that what you're really seeing...
00:31:14 mit Teams, die nicht der Pick of the Litter, der normal POIs, wie Allianz. Allianz kind of got to bully a lot of other squads, saying, oh, we're big, strong Allianz, we've probably put up a lot of points at this section of the split, and so we're going to pick whatever POIs we want. What you're seeing now is more that they get POIs, not just Allianz, but a lot of other quite strong teams, that while it may not be their first pick...
00:31:40 ...has a similar playstyle to what they're used to. So Fischer, Thermal... ...not really comparable in terms of loot, in terms of space on the map... ...but the fact that you're landing over in Fischer... ...does give you a lot of similar rotational options... ...that you would have from Thermal... ...in the sense that you can wrap...
00:31:58 Basically around behind two POIs. Mirage tends to rotate pretty early over towards staging. And so you have access to Thermal that way without encountering a lot of teams. And the same can be said for SkyWest that often doesn't go further west than Trials. And so you do have a really similar thing there with Thermal that you can normally dip in behind Tree or again up into Mirage that not a lot of teams will actually contest. And you get similar, if not exactly the same.
00:32:26 Early game plans out of these teams. And I think that's really strong because then we start thinking about, I know a lot of people in the community were putting out maps and when it came to the POI draft where those drop ships were going to be looking at and kind of the max distance that you could fly from that initial ship to be able to really correlate your looting patterns. We'll just see how teams kind of.
00:32:45 und maximise whatever they're able to do. Granted, I mean, it's just day two for EMEA that we're waiting to get started. So I'll be nice to see you once we start accruing some more data, how all of this starts correlating together. But in the grand scheme of things, let's go ahead and look at some of the kill leaders that were in EMEA yesterday from Groups A and B.
00:33:04 Honestly, Navi kind of going hard with 15 tied alongside Synetic and Blast. But Navi, they play yet again today. And if they've already had a chance to start warming up just yesterday, what are they going to bring to the table today? Because I look at how they ended up overall. This is with them ending in eighth place overall with 20 eliminations and kind of had 15 of them.
00:33:27 Yeah, I mean, I'd be scared of Navi. I can't help but look just below them at Synetic right now, because next up have a lot of things going for them. Maiden haven't already caught a lot of people off guard just last split, and now they've added in Mags, who, as we mentioned, used to play with 07, has played with 07 for quite a long time through some of their biggest, I'd say, bumps in popularity.
00:33:51 So you've got arguably Maiden Heaven, who was already a great zone team, who was already predicting things really well, who was playing the meta of this season really well, and you add onto that a player with a lot of history. Synetic clearly going off, Nagz still managing to make the top 10. It's no wonder that a lot of eyes should be on next up when we come into today's games.
00:34:14 Oh, but also I know Passion UA will not be playing here today, but I want to give some big shout outs to Sonia. It was really good seeing Max Drafe over there in L.A. for the land. But you have to remember that squad yesterday in their last game wrapped up a win with 15 eliminations, which by far, you know, they only had two games that were inside the top three, but this one in particular allowed them to really jut up that leaderboard with a fourth place overall. But some of the things that they've been changing in particular were their legend comps.
00:34:43 That kind of free up Sonja to frag out, hit 14, massive. But one of my biggest questions in today, specifically because we saw where Aurora is landing, Geyser, kind of wild, not a huge fan of it, but they had a slower start to kind of the regular season, right? Finishing ninth overall yesterday. Geyser is not a POI that you want. I know that we're putting it really, really nicely, but...
00:35:10 Being pushed into Geyser as opposed to Sky East is severely limiting your options. We've actually seen teams succeed out of Geyser, but it takes a totally different playstyle than the rest of the map. So if you are Aurora, you don't want Geyser, I think is perhaps the better way to put it. We actually saw 2R1C, who are now Blacklist International, actually taking Geyser and succeeding with it during the last split, but it is not a...
00:36:02 A doubter. All right, well, let's go ahead and pull up the drop spots in correlation with World's Edge and not only Storm Point, because we all know that Aurora was making waves trying to go to that Sky West. Now, that gets access to Trials, which if you're running Lifeline, you really want to get an early gold knockdown shield. So you can slot that in onto Harddecky, let those revives sing. But for now...
00:36:23 We already know that was taken immediately. So you can see over there on the right side is where World's Edge is. Skyhook West far superior than Skyhook East. But we already knew someone got Survey Camp alongside Epicenter Open. Dome was free, so our Stax team is going to have access to that. And man, there's just so much to be said about this in particular. We are like harping a lot about 07. In 07, they got Siphon East, which...
00:36:51 Very powerful. When you think of where the zones have been going on World's Edge and in reality with where they are going, it's north. It's all north, Dia. And also, before we move too far away from this, I have something to say. I have something to say about these things. POI number three on Stormpoint, Trident.
00:37:11 Not a place that I think a lot of people would prioritize. I think it's worth noting that while we've talked about Exoclan and their selection of Skyhook West really early on, they actually got Trident when we move on over to Stormpoint. I think that is very interesting. I don't know whether it's going to be a good or bad thing, but Trident, not a particularly enviable POI at face value.
00:37:34 Oh, I mean, but it's better than Prowler Nest, wouldn't you say? I mean, far superior. It has the same amount of Prowlers, but a little bit more buildings. Yeah, I mean, I do prefer Trident, and most of that has to do with the fact that it is a little bit closer to North Pad and Wall. You can rotate up to the North as well. Prowler Nest, I look forward to seeing someone land. I'm sure it'll happen. There's lots of PvE in the area, you know?
00:38:01 Maybe, but honestly, when you think of where ExoClan under the Element 6 banner previously had experience landing Cascades, right? Cascade Falls, just a short distance away from Trident. So maybe they just grab the whip, loot the buildings nearby, and then they can just figure out where they're going to want to go. Because most teams like to hit that rotate fairly quickly when we jump onto the Storm Point, which will be the back half of our series later on. So no worries there. And then we can kind of just run through.
00:38:30 Okay, okay, the real take.
Allianz loves you. Allianz loves you right now. Like, Far-South-Tree. Last three Buildings-Tree. Das ist die Basis take.
00:39:11 Please. Do you know how fun that would be? Look, honestly, I love Skyhook endings, but with what we've been witnessing throughout my time casting World's Edge, I will take a tree any day. And honestly, I'll do you one better. A Stacks ending pulling to the far south of Stacks where maybe just one corner of the building's involved. That is...
00:39:47 The how far can you get from each POI draft position? Really helpful if you're into analyzing competitive Apex and what the loot paths for these teams can look like. I am going to let you know that there are a lot of threes in their handle, so it's going to take a little bit more searching. Most of the E's can be replaced with threes, but I'm not going to tell you which ones.
00:40:26 You could go a little mixy there. We talk about contesting still not really being a thing unless you lock in the opposing POI area. Because people yesterday, I was lurking in chat, right Dia? And they were like, why is it Klima East? Why is it not Klima West? Why are they split into two? And it's because you can choose which side you would rather spawn on. But for now, guys, this is the time. Thank you so much for bearing with us because our first match of A and C is about to drop underway.
00:40:54 Honestly, Zayn with the meow, it's fitting. Welcome back, Zayn.
Erste Gefechte und strategische Wendungen in World's Edge
00:40:5800:40:58 Mhm, mhm. Already chillin', already hittin' the quick loot. It does mean that, you know, if you are alone at Lava Siphon, 07 do actually have to clear north to south if they want to get the whole POI, which is interesting in how that'll maybe impact their rotational path. In this particular case, I don't think it'll affect them nearly as much. We've got, uh, like, some Evo Harvesters that you can actually catch towards the south, and I do want to give another quick shoutout as well, uh, this time Face It Watch. I know that we talked about them in the pre-
00:41:27 This is a great opportunity for those of you who may not have tried Faceit Watch yet to go to Faceit Watch and open up the map stream that'll really let you keep track of what all these players are doing. It's my favorite thing to have up during any of the games.
00:41:40 And that's strong, right? You really want to have multiple angles of it because you can really see just some of the patterns that our teams are taking. But for 07, a lot of things that they want to keep an eye out on are essentially these drones. And more people don't talk enough about these when it comes to competitive Apex Legends. More frequently, if you hit it on gold, you're going to get that gold item. Most of the times for me, it's a hop-up. But at least here, we pull the gold knockdown. You get the vault key, which considering when you're going through...
00:42:09 No, they...
00:42:29 Oh.
00:42:53 Well, this is what I want to keep up with. Trojan making their way into Landslide. And next up, trying to defend that home turf. Here comes the incoming Arc Stars. You've got a Senti in hand, but it doesn't matter. Arctic here already regaining that high ground. We heard 07, Natsky in particular, talking about Nags yesterday and his strong performance on this roster. He's like, did I make a mistake? Did I? No, no, sir. You stick with Zayn, but for now, Nags has to clutch up already on purple. They do just that. Goodbye, Trojans.
00:43:22 Honestly, really good start for next up. The rotation through Landslide is nice, but as a POI that you rotate through, it's not one that you typically stick around because of this. It's very vulnerable to a lot of other teams rotating through. We already saw Alliance moving up through Landslide, and now next up, even on their rotation out, are getting caught up in a fight with Apex Warlords.
00:43:45 Oh, and everyone, big fan of Shiv here, playing alongside Zeri and Genji. Now, mind you, this was the roster that was playing alongside Mandy in previous iterations, but bringing in Genji, I think it just gives them a different dynamic. But immediately, as soon as they start looking down that information from next up, they have said, no way, we're going to focus on our rotation, which really could cost them, because Genji hasn't had that chance to heal up. They're going to be roaming straight into other teams that have already found themselves in Monument.
00:44:14 Dann musst du mit Next Up noch auf deinem Back zu dealieren.
00:44:16 Apex Warlords controlling this choke is a really smart move, but when you're talking about people that can roll up behind their back, that's something they've really got to be aware of, especially as they start moving over towards Grandma's House. This opens up another two great places for teams to roll up behind Apex Warlords, be it from Grandma's House, be it from Fragment Monument, or from the Landslide area. There's not a lot of ways that you can fortify this position, and it's at this point, Tiff, that I really find myself wishing that we had a little bit more of it.
00:44:46 Newcastle Rampart presence, because that would go a long way for Apex Warlords right now.
00:44:51 I mean, it would, but also I know that you're a Rampart diehard, so it makes very well sense that you would already lock that in. But we'll tune in with that later because I was keeping my eyes on ANC Outplayed in particular for where this zone appears to be pulling, right? And because they've locked in the Watson, it makes sense for them to play there. I'm worried about Apex Warlords in general having this because we've got piercing spikes. You do have a Dark Veil and you will have Smokes available. This is such an open area for you to try to lock down.
Wipe out whatever Teams are nearby you. Und RUNNING THE ALTAR zu tun, das auch ist eine wirklich cool way zu starten.
00:45:37 It is. You can already see the Void Nexus down and out preemptively to prepare for that fight. In case Unlucky or Effect do fall, you can immediately go back and we'll go for a regain. But knowing they land in Lava Fissure, they hit that rotation over towards Countdown. They're running into Atlas. Atlas barricading themselves here in this small room. They got Piercing Spikes down. They've already expended a Dark Veil to really try to fend off this push from Alliance. But at the end of the day, we're sitting on one elimination and job's not done.
00:46:06 What is this timing? How did they get back, like, at the exact right moment? Alliance do not overstay for a second. Instead, like you said, using Alter Alt to get right back where they started and taking out a member of Exo on the way. That's Brynn down. Brynn down, that means it's going to be K, Swinny, and Slayers. The dynamic duo left standing so far for Exo. A well-timed Bloodhound scan is going to be incoming, but it doesn't matter.
00:46:32 In fact, knowing that his location has been given up will answer back with one of their own. That scan gives him time to pop that shield bat and focus on it, but check the angle of Slayer's holding while Swinny's going for the res. Smoke button, swing from unlucky. Don't believe canceled that instead, it's a trade.
00:46:49 Rind is back up, and it looks like with a gold knockdown shield as well, Alliance have overextended on the high ground, and Slayers, who holds it down for the team, now is going to get the chance to finish. The fight swoops in with the flatline, takes out Alliance. That is one step too far into Exoclan. Yeah, but if I'm Exoclan, I'm on top of the world right now. Taking your first engagement up, such a heavy name in the lobby of Alliance, and taking them down, that just goes. We want the momentum to carry forth on this.
00:47:19 Also noted that Alliance is the only team playing Alter. We didn't even get to see the Void Nexus come through because not only that, they expended it over in Countdown. Yes, it's got a 200 meter range, but what ExoClan is going to realize is if they can push in and eliminate packets before any of the Noct players can take the Void Nexus, should they have been able to, they do not want that reset. Well done, Exo.
00:47:41 And seriously, this was a really good way for Alliance to start things off, at least initially. Their fight up against Exo went a little bit too far, but...
00:48:21 Oh, Engels able to do 50 damage right there. I'd be curious to see what we're going to be able to do with those nades because you know Natsuki is one for his nades to connect and let them do a lot of the damage. Immediately jumps down to reposition, has to go up to high ground. Now, knowing that this squad here, Eternal, locks in the fuse because he was trying to dodge that knuckle cluster. Let's see what Zayn can do here for the first time in Split 2.
00:48:46 At this point, Eternal don't have a lot of rotational options that you have to move north. Take a look at the upper left-hand corner of your screen. You've got all the information that you need. You must go through 07 in order to make it in because even when this zone closes, 07 will be moving up right alongside you. Jump towers can't really save you at this point when you evac.
00:49:07 There's no way to make it through the chokes and know what's on the other side. Eternal are going to have to walk in, are going to have to fight 07, and at this point, it's not looking particularly good for any of those teams, because next up are waiting for them in the choke, and Atlas is still wrapping on Eternal.
00:49:22 The angles that NextUp is able to take with all of that is crazy. And Atlas might be mirroring Exoclan, because Exoclan, we last saw them taking down Alliance over there in Lava Fissure, have decided to wrap up through Skyhook East. Now, granted, there's a survey beacon up there, so they'll get that player scan information that will allow them to decide which way they want to approach that rotation. Because as you can see, with where that zone is pulling, it's going to be a very unforgivable endgame.
00:49:49 Really fascinating move from Exoclan as well. Remember they moved down south towards Lava Fischer? Now moved back up north. This is the move that I thought they would make at the start of the game to play for those last remaining bits of Skyhook and then eventually Evac Tower over or dip through Zone in order to make it into Grandma's House. But now they're going to be sitting in the same territory as Atlas and given what we know about Exoclan, it's a fight they're likely to take pretty early.
00:50:14 Oh, but you can see there, they've already popped that evac tower, are going to rotate around them, get ahead of ExoClan, and for now, Motherlode on your screen, nags by the truck.
00:50:25 Fokus is getting on that full heal, but what is Bambino, Bongo, and Maxi going to be able to do? How will they whittle it down at NextUp's powerful hold on this area? And remember that NextUp holding out Eternal is not the only fight that's going to go down. 07s still have to rotate in through this same side and could very well get hungry for this fight. Third partying it and taking out all, if not all, three squads in the process.
00:50:50 Oh, they're gonna have to do it. Let's see. Nags, they're on the front line, holding the angles very nicely. Let's see the pop-up go through. All Ultimates, Arc Stars to open it up. We're even gonna smoke out their cover. Bongo inside, trying to defend whatever they can. Swings to the left here. Takes a double time and gets laid out. PK to the face.
00:51:09 The Peacekeeper Shop from Arctic really does keep you nice and healthy. However, next up, almost have Arctic go down. Instead, finish from Semetic and a shield swap to follow that up does prepare you for the inevitable third party because you know 07 is coming in off of this. The fight has gone on too long. And next up, we're going to have to take another 3v3 while they stabilize in the middle of this one.
00:51:30 Yeah, but Arctic throws down the Watts and Jenny, which will really help on any incoming of those nades there that 07 is so good at doing as Eternal falls. 07 is still working on the way that they want to approach. Nasky kind of anchoring from the back, wants to go straight up into Tower so he can have the lay of the land and guide Zane and Amphi to success. Actually, they're going to follow up. Amphi joining them up top.
00:51:53 I love this. I mean, knowing that ExoClan has just shown up from the tunnel, this fight is no longer about who can pick up those small kills, but who gets priority on the northern choke point. 07, Exo, next up. They are all fighting for this, and it's 07 that Drawing First Blood chooses to weaken ExoClan just a little bit further, going for a Thirst.
00:52:13 There goes the scan. We're still holding on to Beast of the Hunt. We haven't necessarily had to invest it yet. Now, granted, with Season 21 came, some Beast of the Hunt changes. Anytime you get a knock on that, it's not going to extend the duration. But granted, it's one of those perks that you can elect to choose. And one of them also is the buffed HP gain on knock. It got moved to 50 as opposed to 25. So I'd be curious to see what some of our players here today have elected. 07, making a showing straight on to.
00:52:41 This was a rough rotation. It was ultimately Nessie that had to move forward through the landslide tunnel, taking a fight before this. However, with 07 committing out of the choke, I do believe they've made a misstep.
00:52:56 We'll find out exactly how far and if that is true, as Exo are still suffering with Up Next right behind them. Brynn starts the fight off really well, taking out Nags, almost makes the second one clip with the Havoc, hitting for Flesh, and Slayers is here to pop in, still has a little bit of HP, and manages to clutch it up. That is a 2v3 from ExoClan.
00:53:17 That is what we want to see. Slayers with the gold knockdown, hitting the res, getting back on Brynn. Now granted, we'll be able to get the banner, but can we get Swinny back into the swing of things? We'll have to tune back in to see. For now, it's go next. Over here, still fighting on the edge. We've already expended a lot of our resources in terms of ultimate abilities. And Kai, Kishara, I love seeing him still on that bang. The former crypto player started dabbling with Bangalore last split. And now, Beast of the Hunt.
Na'Vi's Fehler und GoNext's Dominanz
00:53:4500:53:45 We're in our way up, Havok in hand, it's so powerful and it just clears out Amphi, 07 to fall. This is the misstep that I was talking about, but just before we cut away to the Exoclan 2v3, 07 by committing to the low ground, give way too many angles for other teams to walk up on them without appropriate sightlines to keep it disincentivized. Navi walk up on this fight as well.
00:54:07 Und jetzt geht es um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um,
00:54:23 I was gonna say, you gotta find something a little better than that one that only has 25 HP on it, but kinda your kill leader from yesterday came in swinging with 15 eliminations. Now, already looking for more, but considering where they've found themselves at that further northernmost side of the ring, that rotation's going to be tough. You can already see that Stay Healthy occupying that grandma's house, and Aurora has the train tracks. Let's jump into a listen and see where they're gonna head. I don't know yet if you're going left, left.
00:54:50 3, 2, 1, go! 3, 2, 1, go!
00:55:19 Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier. Ich bin hier, ich bin hier.
00:55:48 We can fight this. We can fight this. That decision right there alone. Do we stay there and fight this or do we third party? On the rotate for the third party, we lose out on Matafe and Kainda and Tyler left alone in the third party.
00:56:18 I think he's got it as well. Nice patience. We talked about indecision earlier on with Na'Vi, but rolling teams really knew their moment. Picking the perfect opportunity for Adam to come in, find the kill, and likely actually find the res. ANC Outblade are right next door, but ANC Outblade have one of the best spots in zone, and they wouldn't want to give that up for just a little bit of KP, would they?
00:56:45 Maybe, but they've also been there since the dawn of time. They land Harvester. Easy rotation up, but check it in with Stay Healthy here. This is the team that was Survey Camp, and we've already lost out on one. Mizuko Falcons here on your screen. The swing, and it's not going to be enough. Too many teams getting into that fight, and Exoclan just down to Brynn.
00:57:07 Stay healthy, being gone means that we've just got five teams left. Make it essentially four, whereas you're talking about Brynn, the last member standing. He's already done some pretty remarkable things. Taking out a lot of squads as Exo, who again, were playing things out in the middle of the game as a duo. This Kraber from Aurora could end their game, but it doesn't even connect. The four Exo go down. The KP still going to Oirein in this case. Four squads left, and Aurora control high ground, still in zone.
00:57:37 Three more bullets. So even if it doesn't connect, we immediately throw down the rolling thunder gets tagged up. We got to keep your eyes on hard deck. You can never let your lifeline go down first, but for now go next on the high ground. Adam towards your left and ANC outplayed have been holding down their fort for the time being, but keep an eye on checks, making that push onto Adam for the cleanup crew.
00:57:58 Adam, Adam was done dirty. Their rolling teams really did survive for such a long time. It does mean, however, that ANC have extended onto the train tracks and that gives them an angle onto Aurora. Three squads left. Oirein is down, but Hardeki is still in this. As long as you've got the lifeline res. No! Lifeline goes down and Aurora now absolutely decimated. Nothing they can do. Two squads left. It's go next versus ANC outplayed.
00:58:26 The 3v3 ANC Outplay moved into their position quite early on, but it's GoNext, who have had to rotate throughout and fight for every bit of the space that they've accrued. Four eliminations thus far for them, and Outplayed have seven. It's going to be a big game regardless of however, but something that Slab is doing is popping that ult XL, trying to chain them together to have Beast of the Hunt available for this last fight.
00:58:52 GoNext earned this spot by taking advantage of those teams that did overextend to the low ground. Choke high ground by the choke themselves. Making use of it now. As Kashera gets good opening damage. Kai slides in. No kills finished just yet. First one drops. ANC outplayed are wiped clean as they try and make a push up to the high ground. That was a killer endgame from GoNext. GoNext Esports, your mouth...
00:59:18 Top 1 winners on World's Edge, Kashera, Kai, Slab, impressive to behold. And honestly, just watching Kashera there on the Havoc grab that opening knock against Shex, puts them with that 3v2, and they just all start deathballing together for the final swing. It was a great way to kick things off here.
01:00:23 We were in that listening and we both collectively thought that that lone arc star from Aurora on the tip of the iceberg mountain, right? Was the MVP of that fight.
01:00:46 I mean, it just completely stops any angle that you can otherwise hold on high ground and really effective counterplay from Aurora. It's unfortunate to see them fall in third place, but I mean, they did make it to third place, which is already a whole lot better than I imagined they were going to do, because remember, Tiff, I'm still a doubter. I'm still sitting here. They're playing out of Geyser, and I was going, there's no way this works. Third place with a couple KP is not a bad start for Aurora.
Analysen und Vorhersagen vor dem zweiten Match
01:01:1101:01:11 It's their best finish comparatively. When you look at yesterday, they had a fourth place and they ended up ninth overall. So if you're kicking things off already where they are, we are looking good. Aurora fans, we've got you. It's all happening. But we thought back to the beginning of that game before we wait here for the results, Dia. I asked you your pick on where you thought the zone was go. I was wrong, of course, like usual. I thought it was going to be stacks. That would have been beautiful. But unfortunately, it wasn't. You called tree as maybe your kind of hot take.
01:01:36 But you were almost right there. When you think of the center of the map, you wanted some lava fissure. We pull on over to Monument, just on the outside, of course.
01:02:13 I loved watching the way the teams do that and while I did miss things like Rampart and Newcastle because they're so useful in these particular niche zones, the way the teams played without that is arguably just as impressive.
01:02:24 I mean, they did just fine without it. So let's go ahead and look at the match results to see just how match number one ended up for our squads. We knew go next and ANC outplayed. We're going to have some solid starts to things. And you can see both whacking up seven eliminations. Go next with 19 just edging out ANC outplayed because of the placement points. So not too bad. Aurora, like we said, that third place. But rolling teams, ExoClan, stay healthy. Some really good starts for them. And even Nine Lives, that former LVH roster. Now granted.
01:02:53 Minus Liffen bringen in New Org, New Them, 7 Elims, but they were the one that got third-partied over an actual monument.
01:03:01 I mean, I'm still amazed that ExoClan end up here with seven eliminations after losing a member so relatively early into the game. That was mostly a duo that brought them up to seven eliminations, I think ultimately managing to get a res. However, the bottom half of this leader bird, not nearly so lucky. Despite a great start by 07, they do fall pretty early, getting only four points. Next up, however, managed to clean up a few more kills, technically placing above them, though they got the same amount of placement points.
01:03:30 I think that Hall came through, that great collapse over on that north side of Landslide. When we were looking through that choke, it was just too tough to make it out of there. Then we have this Team V Team Go Next and ANC Outplayed, your first and second place team. Look at all the damage that we witnessed from Go Next in comparison to ANC Outplayed. When you move into your position.
01:03:50 Pretty much for the endgame, right? I said the dawn of time of that World's Edge map ANC outplayed had moved in. Obviously, because they have Watson, it makes sense for them to kind of make that work. But granted, it's relatively the same, Dia. It is. It's funny. I was thinking, speaking of relatively the same, looking at that endzone and going, you know, I know Kishara has actually been on the low ground with a Watson and a Crypto at the time and won this endzone.
01:04:14 Kind of funny to watch him play it out from the other perspective without a Watson or a Crypto really defying the playstyle that he's been known for as an IGL and managing to make it work against a Watson team on the low ground. I thought that was pretty cool. It's pretty cool just seeing a really solid IGL make their way back in and take that match one win. But we're going to cut to a quick break when we come back, guys. Plenty of more Apex Legends action.
01:04:41 Alienware is the official PC and Monitor Partner of the Apex Legends Global Series.
01:06:23 JLGS Match 2 is about to get underway here in Split 2 on Day 2. The perfect match for me to jump in and commentate, give Tiff a rest. Rain Day here with Dia. Dia, great cast. I mean, ANC Outplayed, Go Next, Aurora, they were all in the mix in that final three. You know, just being down on the scene, how was it to you? The start of Koshera, the reintroduction again of ANC Outplayed, a team that's been pretty successful, but never really crossed the precipice of the team that we're usually...
01:06:52 Highlighting in Europe, great starts for them as well. Yeah, you know, it's funny when you mention ANC Outplayed, they have been doing really well. I think they managed to avoid a lot of the spotlight, mostly because they're a very zone-oriented team. It's honestly just not that stylish. We saw them running around towards the bottom of the map, picking up a few kills here and there, but ANC Outplayed's game plan really does revolve around setting up in a nice spot.
01:07:16 Putting down the Watts and Jen and making sure they control that area. It's made them one of the better performing teams in EMEA. Just not quite, as we say, stylish enough to really merit a lot of attention that a lot of other teams get. You know, this is a season that when I look at EMEA and...
01:07:33 I just look at the state that we're in, right? Let's not hyper-focus here. Let's think about where these teams have come from. Atlan participating, working all of Split One to get there. And then for the first time ever, APAC North hits this home run and says, we are finally the region to beat. We are going to be the defending playoff champions. And now I think that while EMEA has always been a team that's taken some risks, I feel like it's time to stop looking for, in a baseball metaphor,
01:08:01 oder first hit, you know, singles or doubles. It's really time to try to swing for a home run as we're seeing other regions who haven't won finally go, no, it's our time. That's the way I kind of look at EMEA right now, that I'm looking for the team that's going to make that change, that'll be like a home run, not just in this stage, but the international stage. I want to get your thoughts on that as we head into, again, the second day only of seeing what these teams can offer here in Split 2.
01:08:25 Now, I want you to know, Randy, before I answer this metaphor, that I do not watch any baseball. Yeah, neither do I, really. This may be a horrific butchering of the sport, but...
Du hast das breath of fresh air in Competitive Apex.
01:09:26 We know the program of how you get a W and not be from North America. Well, okay, EMEA, your chance now. That's the task. That's the challenge I raise to this region. And I think the fans of this region want to see these teams lift up to, again, big names like Alliance coming into it. Gaming Gladiators with a new team, but still a very familiar presence in Apex showing up yesterday. Go Next has been consistent.
Strategische Überlegungen und Team-Dynamiken
01:09:5301:09:53 Ancy Outplay. We'll see which team continues to be our storyline as we jump into game number two here, following along with Big Mod and Kashera and go next, getting a little loot done.
01:10:05 I mean, big mod, great place to start whenever you have the opportunity to. I tend to avoid it personally in my own games because a lot of people know that it's a great place to start, but it gives you a lot of rotational options and has high ground inherently on Geyser as soon as you rotate out, which you'll be able to a lot faster than that POI. So you get immediate prioritization on a northern rotate. You've got the opportunity to pick up the great weapons that they have in mod, which...
01:10:35 Das ist wirklich eine große Unterschiede. Und natürlich ist es der Home of My Favorite Legend.
01:11:02 I'm looking at the ways that you can really approach next zone and we're gonna get that up real quick because the way that you're approaching the next couple of rings is going to be really important when we look at ultimately where this is pulling. I've encouraged the sort of...
01:11:40 There is the opportunity for whatever team controls Tunnel to make it out this way, but two really strong points, of course, for GoNext are going to be rotating into this choke and maybe controlling this tunnel. Right now, anything that happens towards the south here is a KP play and nothing more, because realistically, you're not going here, and you are certainly not going here.
01:11:58 Yeah, it feels like Geyser is a tough spot to run into at this point. So time is of the essence for sure. Aurora holding that zone can lead to a lot of KP, a lot of holding out, forcing teams towards that western choke that you had kind of highlighted where 07 have a chance to go straight up through. But overlook, it's open. I wonder, Nine Lies Esports maybe decide to get a little aggressive. Maybe they don't have the control legend. I don't know what it is, but I feel like that's a decent spot to stay.
01:12:23 Yet, you know, some teams, they obviously feel like maybe there's not enough value holding into that zone right now. Maybe need to loot up. Maybe you want to get aggressive, feeling good about who's rotated next to them. We'll have to wait and see how that pans out. Of course, this is one of those iconic zones in Apex Legends and that northeastern side on World's Edge. A lot of ways to play.
01:12:43 Volts singin' for Taskmaster.
59! Players left in der Lobby so far, Diaz. So, again, ein slowerer Start. No Contest, again, early on.
01:13:50 Can anybody actually stand up to what DMS has been doing so far? Because their 3-2-1s have been really clean over the course of this game. Nine lives go down just as Exoclan rounded the corner into where they were. That's their death box that they managed to spot. And now holding up towards the north end of Climatizer, they've got to deal with not just DMS, but the teams that are coming up from Bridge, from Epicenter as well, that'll have sightlines onto this fight.
01:14:17 It's interesting, you know, we see Nine Lies rotate all the way up. They're the first team, I believe, to get out at this point. So I wonder, again, what that rotation was about. DMS, obviously, on that higher side, maybe just prioritizing a spot, knowing maybe game is won if we get there. But if you even look at the map now, while we're focusing on stacks and mod, these two teams have yet to rotate. It's 07 and rolling teams. Speaking of the best rap play we've seen so far, maybe Adam takes the cake for now. Definitely in the frontrunner for a nomination.
01:14:47 Off of that last final circle. But they're gonna have to go through 07, who will not be surprised that they are right behind them. And trying to keep pace. Unfortunately, both these teams will have to fight, and likely it dies as well. In an awkward spot. For a team like Alliance, who are currently taking their engagement in Epicenter. Things actually look a little bit better. You've got a little more freedom in Epicenter. I mean, I'm just noticing the first time we've seen an altar in Amiga play. I mean, this new character, very exciting.
01:15:16 Talk to us about what you think Hockey's is doing here in this big play. Obviously he's got a lot of utility with the portal and in case things go wrong with the ultimate.
01:15:23 Yeah, in the open, Alter not getting nearly as much value right now, but gives the team a nice place to retreat to with the Void Nexus. It's a lot about controlling these little stalactites. Stalagmites, not sure which at the moment. Either way, Atnam is going to be the one that goes down. And a nice breach just behind them actually gives the crucial angle to Hakkis to help clean up this fight. Alliance, making a pretty clean wipe of just two members right now. And of course, have the opportunity to retreat right back.
01:15:53 Unlucky rocking the Watson as well, so giving them some stability in case you do want to use that Void Nexus, which even if you are down, for those just watching Altar, will allow you to trans, I guess, locate back to it, even up to 200 meters in terms of distance. This thing is massive, and so if you have a Watson gen where you get back to or near your Void Nexus, you're going to save it from any grenades, any big...
Schwings left, wants to get the high-ground look. Bit of a Hail Mary slide, nachdem du get hit für Flesch. Sliding down onto the low-ground. Never really going to save you. Not in these Pro League lobbies. Exo...
01:17:11 ...do manage to pick up the kill. However, they still know there's a team here, because they third-partied it, after all. So in we come. Remember, there's no Catalyst quality inside of this. But Exoclant also don't have the initiation tools like the Horizon ult that Navi had earlier.
01:17:39 Just to force the team around the corner. Maybe make an angle for a shot. A little bit of a peek. More ordinances there. They've got plenty. And Slayer's just holding that high ground. Allowing Brynn to go to work. Again, the third grenade. They want this team out of there. But I'm not sure that they're going to have enough data. I mean, that team can kind of just go back and forth. And that's three ordinances that didn't really get much value from Exoclan. They may want to back off just for now.
01:18:02 Especially if they want to hold onto this height. It's kind of an awkward balance. You can't quite commit onto the low ground, but to retain control of the high ground, you're going to have to fight these teams eventually. Slayers is already eating shots from the bridge, the very place that Exoplan sure would like to go. We just got the last remnants of Navi holding onto that, but with Navi and Apex Warlords combined, there's a chance for Exoplan to be in some serious trouble. Yeah, there's a lot of teams.
01:19:13 My goodness, I mean, did miss a bullet there, kinda.
01:19:41 Showing a special kind of aim. As Nadis Vincere looked to bounce back off of probably a lackluster performance in that first game. Didn't get quite what they wanted. Got caught in the rotation right around here, heading into Fragment. And all went down. But now six points to their name. 17 spot. A little bit of rhythm. And okay, Swinney. Exoclan. They found themselves to low ground. Maybe not in the way that they wanted. Having to skip over some lava. It's not an easy day if you have to skip over some lava.
01:20:08 Whether you're in Apex or in real life, hopefully not. But that's what Case Winnie has come to, just to survive here with XL. You know, it reminds me of one of my favorite Apex casting moments. I know that when a lot of people think of Onset Gasket, they think of the, you know, come down from the heavens final of playoffs call. I think of them casting a Thermite, which just got thrown into some nothing fight. And just, ooh, ooh, ooh. That's all I can hear. Whenever you get to the, like, Lava Thermite sound.
Automatopoeia, vielleicht? Oder ich weiß nicht. Automatopoeia. Und so, take notes, guys. Wir werden in viel mehr geben. Und mit dem...
01:21:05 Schazam. Let's get into it here, although on the high side, the map, Dia, where does it set up for Aurora, who look pretty healthy right here, as well as stay healthy and go next, go next, winning in that final two last game and being able now to put themselves in a good position here in the second game.
01:21:22 I like that you've identified those two spots because it really is about who's approaching from the south. Aurora's game plan is going to be more or less the same. They just have to hold off those rocks until land zone. It is go next and stay healthy that needs to control the south. A team like Alliance, however, does have one more option left for them to control the eastern side of this zone. And it is coming hard fought, but that's something Alliance is used to. The Catwall not stopping them for now. Still leading effect in the front. Ten more seconds on Beast the Hunt and a third.
01:21:52 Ends up firing at them from afar, forcing Alliance to reset. They don't have a lot of ways to get aggressive after they've expended two ultimates in order to take this fight.
01:22:01 Interesting fight, though. I mean, let's talk about Alter. You've got the Void Passage. That can go from high to low very, very quickly. Will they use it as a team to get aggressive? I know talking so much to Ian about how this character was designed, the designer of this, put a lot of effort into being able not only to, from high ground to low ground, have such a significant way to impact the game with your Void Passage, but from low ground to high ground, even sometimes kidnapping people in that type of scenario. Here, they might even be able to do it against the...
01:22:45 I'm going to be so real with you right now. That is just Alliance skill-checking someone. Exactly. They went, you know what? We can't make our way out of this fight. We're going to take this fight. And the fact that they win it is really a credit to how incredible Alliance has been and will continue to be in EMEA. They do unfortunately go down to the inevitable third party, but it's no surprise to me that next up is the one to come in for it. This team really wowed me with their macro during day one. They started game.
01:23:25 When you get into the real elements of life, there are certain things that give you a real boost, right? And for people fortunate enough to compete like I was at high levels of any sport or any eSport when you're younger and you're going through that journey, having your parents, having your family be able to travel wherever you go and support you in that is huge. It is so grounding. Synetic, I became a huge fan watching them in Made in Heaven by talking to his parents, seeing that interview. I think it was Stella that did in the crowd about what Synetic did.
01:24:25 So close, Nessie, Graciel trying to get it done, but not able to get it where they wanted to. Of course, that will leave next. And Nags, Synetic still alive as well, but Cybercats, they're on the trail.
01:25:30 It seems like they are feeling themselves. And I love it. Cybercats, two members of the former Aurora that really, obviously, in my opinion, have been game changers and trendsetters in EMEA for a long time. But as we take a look at the overview top down, you can see Navi, Cybercats, Aurora, DMS. They found themselves into this final zone. Who's got the best chance at it right now? Because Aurora, they're looking pretty good with two purples and a red on some high ground.
01:25:57 They really are, and a Devo as well. This solves a lot of problems that you typically get playing from this spot. Lack of ammunition, but Impulse is already making their way out on Bangalore to collect a lot, and with the Devo as we mentioned, where you don't have to carry any ammo on these great weapons. Aurora's high ground position is fantastic. I do want to give credit where it is due, however. DMS in the far, far north east corner of this map.
01:26:59 Anc outplayed doing a funny little dance here and sitting by Aurora, knowing that weirdly enough, sharing space with this monstrous team is the one way that they could maybe survive to second. DMS don't have angles on this right now, but DMS actually have zone advantage coming to them. So this will be a fight realistically for who can force one team into another. And for DMS, it's whether you can force Aurora to fight Anc outplayed and third party that.
01:28:08 Alright DMS, we watch your spot and we're going for it as they continue to push and they say we're going to take the fight.
01:28:14 In our own hands.
01:29:09 Man, that was a masterclass in it. They put both of those teams against each other and they didn't get overly aggressive. We've actually seen this zone a couple of times in our split before, and it's a difficult spot to fight that team on that rock side. And I think that ultimately, though, when you're given a zone like that, the measure of a team is how well do you take advantage of it.
01:29:43 Ja.
01:30:12 was really impressive from them. They navigated Climatizer fantastically, and I have too many good things to say about this team. DMS really navigated that endgame, that midgame, perfectly. It goes to show, too.
01:30:25 DMS starting in Climatizer, it finishing so close to Climatizer, there is an advantage in some ways that we see could be possible with those types of zone finishes, but we've also seen it go the other way, so it's really hard to say what's what. There's pretty much no guarantee, even if you start in zone, that you will make it to top three, but you certainly feel like you're given the best chance possible, and that's what, again, I'll reiterate, DMS has...
01:31:30 ...pursuing this game, as they actually did take the rotation that we were looking for, but stopped a little bit short, and ultimately just got caught up in the mess of teams. I think Cybercats was the one that really caught them off guard, and ultimately you can rotate perfectly, but it is going to come down an apex to the...
01:31:47 ...to the balance of Macro and your 3v3 capability. In this case, GoNex, maybe coming up a little bit short, but I'll give him a lifeline for this one. DMS do manage to grab first place with an incredible amount of damage. Aurora right behind them, and ANC, I think, continuing that story, like you said, likely our biggest story so far, but still not our flashiest. ANC are doing...
01:32:30 Team in this lobby, you are right. Don't have that necessary flash where you see these huge moments. We talked maybe even more hype about Alliance, and while they did get six points, which is good for a 14th place, that's a seven points, excuse me, six kills, they're nowhere even in the top ten. So, you look at what actually works in Apex Legends, you've got very different styles. They may not be as flashy, Dia, but they certainly are getting the results that we expect from a high-performing team.
Team-Performance und strategische Überlegungen
01:32:5701:32:57 And let's not forget as well, weirdly ANC Outplayed are actually getting to do this again. Their first day in Pro League of last split, they picked up a second place, doing exactly the same thing, not being flashy, playing the zone. And this, rather, last split, was their first split out of the challenger circuit as well, with ANC Outplayed qualifying then. That was so impressive then.
01:33:22 And to see them doing exactly the same thing with as much that has changed between Split 1 and Split 2 really shows me how unshakable this roster is. Wow, Willem, Andy Jax, and Shex ready to go. Two games, two top threes, and a dub. Can they continue on with getting that win in game number three? We'll find out soon when we come back. Herman Miller is the official share partner of the Apex Legends Global Series.
01:35:29 Apex Legends Global Series, kicking things off with Amiya. Two matches done, but one more to go on World's Edge. And honestly, I had to get back to join you, Dia. This action's been too much. I gotta get in. You dip away for last game, and then suddenly we've got, I will say, another North Pole, but to the opposite side of the map that it tends to be with you, Tiff.
01:35:51 Is it to be expected? Am I just one of those things where I was a curse that every zone went north and now I step away and it's the opposite? Is that how it's going to be from now on? It could be. It could be. I was really impressed with the way that these teams navigated a very different northern zone, however, because moving up through Geyser Overlook was what a lot of teams ultimately had to do. And you and I both know, Tiff, that that tends to be a really big culling ground. A lot of people actually made it all the way up to Overlook before.
01:36:18 Ultimately, going down to a zone that pulled very punishingly into the East. Ooh, well, hey, who knows what's going to happen here? But for the time being, it's good to see ANC Outplayed getting into that consistency in the top three, but also Aurora, right? We start to think of how they performed yesterday in Group A. It was low and behold, very uncharacteristic of what we've seen from Aurora. And now look at them, top two. Love to see it. I would like to retract my previous statement. I am no longer a doubter. I thought...
01:36:47 I really thought in my heart of hearts that Aurora playing out of Geyser was not going to be good for them, and I have no more to say about that. I was wrong, and I admit it. Aurora?
01:37:01 Pick, guys, whatever you want. I just want to hear the one line where you started with, I was. Aurora, I was wrong. I didn't even start with Aurora. It was the fact that, Dia, you are almost never wrong. So I really do enjoy hearing it when you have to say it and kind of own up for yourself because you are so impressive. But at the end of the day, you know, I'm lying in wait while we kind of get that match number three geared up and ready for you guys.
01:37:25 The one thing I noticed, yes, we're talking about DMS Esports, right? That former Red Dragon roster that got signed. Taskmaster, he used to play with Impulse and Oirein, right? Yeah. Yes, I see them coming in from the qualifiers, locking it down and performing so well to grab that win. There's something to be said about that. Yeah, I mean, very impressive stuff from them.
01:38:16 That's a lot of coordination for a team to have. And while things like Challenger Circuit do push you to the next level in terms of how well you're able to teamfight, a lot of times Challenger Circuit teams will end up prioritizing things like how well individually they can play rather than how well they can coordinate as a team. And so the fact that 3-2-1s were such a big part of DMS's game plan in Calamatizer is an outlier when it comes to...
01:38:43 Teams that are new to Pro League, although, as you say, the players might not be, the team as a whole is.
01:38:47 I think that's a very strong point that not a lot of people actually think about. Because when we talk about it, we always talk about in general Challenger Circuit and how you at home, if you're watching all this action, you can get in on it by playing in some of those. But the biggest difference maker when you go to level up and you play in the ALGS is that synergy that you just mentioned. So to bring that up, to really showcase that and see it here on main broadcast is something that is to behold, of course. But now granted.
01:39:13 Last map on World's Edge. A lot of our teams getting their first look at the POI draft when it comes to ALGS. This is not scrims, of course, right? Yeah, they've been practicing it. But for now to see how it actually plays out on regular game day, it's been quite interesting. You had your qualms about, you know, the whole geyser thing, but also the Nasky Lava Siphon. It's been working out for them so far. However, I say that they're in 16th place coming into the final World's Edge map from such a stellar POI.
01:39:43 Yeah, I think that the important thing to keep track of here with 07 is that it's really not their early game that is a problem. It is their mid-game where they are just not quite nailing where they need to be, which is surprising given a team that comes from Syphon. However, also, I mean, when we think about their LAN performance and even in groups leading up to that, a lot of 07's power was around the fact that they could 3v3 you and kill you, and they were doing that immediately at the start of the game.
01:40:11 Not really nearly as rewarded with the new system. And it's leaving 07 and likely their fans a little bit empty handed despite their clear team fighting prowess. It really is positioning that's mattering that much more. And we're really seeing that come to a head with ANC outplayed in sharp contrast to 07.
01:41:08 Landing over by Climatizer does get a slight edge, and I'll say, especially in this particular endzone, a pretty large one, had this pulled a little bit closer towards Overlook and see how it played its position, wouldn't really have changed. They likely still would have picked up second, maybe even first, but DMS would have had a much more difficult time having to take the fight to Aurora as opposed to being able to rotate northeast and have the fight come to them. Very different games decided by maybe...
01:41:34 50-100 m of a delta in endgame zones.
01:41:38 It's quite interesting. And then we start to think back to that mid-game, right? I know Rain Day, that was kind of his first iteration and seeing Alter for Alliance. Hack is locking that in. But the way that they've been playing it, yeah, they're coming in in 12th place, going into their last World's Edge map. Now think back to Split 1. They ended in 14th place. So we're already making moves here, but that's not where they're going to want to be. We saw Hack is on scrim, slaying it out with the Alter and even clutch up in that fight on bridge outside of Epicenter. But do you think that there is...
01:42:35 I don't think this was a bad move from Alliance. In fact, I think a lot of teams running that same composition, or even a different one in that same place, go down without getting the KP. This is the best case scenario for Alliance, and I think that they're playing really well. I think they're making Alter look really good, and it's just a matter of them continuing to roll the dice until they get the pop-off game.
Legend Compositions und Teamdynamiken in Apex Legends
01:42:5401:42:54 Roll that dice further, because they do typically scrim on that same legend composition, whether it's World's Edge or Stormpoint. So to see them lock it in, and it makes sense for Hakkis. And I love that you kind of talk about the other legends that are similar, Wraith, right? But Hakkis is the one that previously is known to experiment with other legends, such as Ash per se, right? Same kind of portal utilization. And I think history serves me correctly. He was the one that would lock in Wraith back in the day. So very on brand for Hakkis.
01:43:23 Yeah, I mean, he's of course looked really good. I am glad that we're seeing a portal-based, void-based legend still work at least in some way for him. I think it's a lot better of a fit than something like the Ash would be. And so we'll see what this looks like. I do still think that there's a lot to be critiqued in terms of Alter and what she brings or rather doesn't bring to team mobility. Even as we've seen good uses of the void nexus, you do have to pair it with Watson. Controller legends are essential. I've got so much to say about it.
01:43:53 So much to say. Dia and I could literally run a podcast on this and just break it all down, but we're not going to do that right here, okay, guys? Because instead, we're going to cut to a quick break. We got match number three on the way. We need to get some things situated before we drop on into it. See you just after the break.
01:46:13 We're back, ladies and gentlemen. We're right ready to get our Match 3 underway here for Split No. 2 Match Day 2. I'm Randy. I'm here with Tiff and Diaz. They get ready to cast. We just wanted to take a little bit of time to make sure that we were caught up to date with all the action that's happened thus far. Big notes for those just joining us or maybe getting excited to head into it. Can ANC Outplay continue to outplay the competition without a win? Two second places in a row.
01:46:38 Thea, you were talking to me earlier about how excited you are to highlight this team finally. What makes what they're doing today so successful? I don't think, weirdly, that it's much different than what they were doing last split that makes them so successful. Although, I will make an important caveat here that I think it's much more geared towards the early split when teams are still figuring each other out. ANC Outplayed's playstyle doesn't actually change that much throughout the split. They still are very zone-oriented. And right now, they're...
01:47:05 They get to take advantage of a lot of the growing pains, the early chaos of the split. They still will look good later, but you'll notice that they're not really taking a lot of 3v3s, and that in the later part of the season can punish them. I think last split they ended around 17th overall, which is good, which actually for a lot of teams is great, your top half. However, in the larger scheme of things, you do want to be getting a few placements higher if you're going to land, and that is something ANC Outplayed can work on despite their early success.
01:47:33 Well, thematically, let's walk back through our first games and talk a little bit about what we've seen. Because, Tiff, it's been interesting to watch ANC outplaying and Aurora be in every single top three. However, they haven't won the games. It's been Go Next Esports first and DMS in our second game taking the first place wins. What does that say to you about how this lobby is functioning so far? It says a lot.
01:47:55 Considering yesterday, Gaming Gladiators were able to take the overall despite not having any wins either. And with ANC outplayed kind of kicking things off very consistently in terms of two second places, both with seven eliminations, it just goes to show you that if you focus on that long game and focus on the position in general that you want to play from that endgame, that the eliminations will come and that's surely what they're doing. That's a great point as well. The team who won yesterday.
01:48:47 Pretty lackluster day. I'm looking at it right now. They came in ninth place. So that's not what we expect from Aurora. Tia, expand on what the impact is of a team like this just in this region because they are a favorite. They're kind of raised above the rest in terms of what the expectations are. So starting off like this, unlike Falcons maybe in North America, it's not the strongest start. Maybe a little something to prove here today.
01:49:11 Very well could be. I mean, I think that Aurora are a team that push the region to be better at fighting and not just holding down spots. I think Alliance do a really similar thing. And it is nice that we have two teams that are at the top of their game that both push everyone in that direction. I do love that they also...
01:49:28 Push the region to experiment to find their own personality. When we're looking at things like the Alter and things like the Lifeline, both of which the separate teams are introducing is their edge. I think it's really healthy for EMEA to have two teams that are both willing to fight and willing to experiment at the top.
POI-Draft und Strategie in der ALGS
01:49:4401:49:44 It's also starting to look incredibly good if you name your team with the starting letter of A because Aurora Alliance and ANC outplayed all pretty high performers tiff. I don't know if there's a plan there from EMEA, but we've got the two passions. We've got the go next and the next. We've got the A's. I mean, there's a lot of similarities here in EMEA. There are, but something that I want to kind of backtrack on before we go too far is what we're looking at in particular. And I think the POI draft.
01:50:12 Is the big shakeup. And I don't want to keep harping on this, but this is one of the biggest changes that we've really seen in the ALGS for the time being. And looking back at the drafts yesterday.
01:50:22 Just alone for Aurora, they landed Sky East. Today, we're going Geyser. Now, granted, we would look for a Sky West with them similarly because they're playing Lifeline. They want the trials loot, right, Dia? So with Apex Warlords yesterday locking in Sky West immediately, Aurora decided, no, we're going to focus on our Storm Point POIs. They grabbed that ever-familiar Cenote Cave. They did the same thing for ANC. They picked Cenote Cave first because they had the 11th pick, and Sky West was already taken by Exo, so what are they going to do?
01:50:50 8 out of 10 went to the World's Edge POI. So they grab Geyser, which if you're starting the game, three different maps, right, of World's Edge, and you have to locate yourself from Geyser, that makes your journey that much more difficult, in my opinion. So the POI draft is out here shaking things up.
01:51:29 It's tough to find success out of Geyser, and to see Aurora on the first day of the POI draft doing just that, when their playstyle contrasts so sharply with what's been successful from Geyser before, Randy, it's nothing short of miraculous. It is, and the other thing we gotta remember about Aurora is they love to play Edge. That is their style. They've cultivated it so well with the Lifeline and these new Evo caches, which in Season 20, with the perk system, allowed this new lineup to really take advantage of all that was available, but...
01:51:56 Now with Geyser and the northeastern kind of north zones, it's been more difficult for them to avoid conflict earlier on yet. So I think this is still a great sign for them, not getting their priority play style, not necessarily getting the easiest abilities to maybe backtrack all the way west or southwest zones and kind of come in late to the fray and keep fighting those teams on edge. They've still managed to get into those top threes. So for me,
01:52:20 This is the type of performance I would be expecting of a team to bounce back from after an okay day number one and now obviously looking like a favorite here in day number two. But that leads us to as we're still getting this lobby underway. We appreciate your patience. You know, we love having a podcast, but this actually isn't our intention to do it right now, but we will keep you entertained while the games get ready to get going. Alter is...
01:52:44 A character that I've been really focused on, and it brings us back to another big name team, Alliance. Alter to me, and Hockies, why? First of all, I always love and notice that Hockies tends to pick these characters that are on the edge, Dia, of maybe being relevant. We've seen them play Ashe in Pro League. We've seen them utilize the Rampart before people were playing it. We've seen now Alter as well.
Alter's Potenzial und Team Zusammensetzung
01:53:0901:53:09 What is it about Alliance and these picks? And what do you really think Hakis and Alter can put together here in a pro league split? I think one of the best things about Alliance is they've got a really solid game plan outside of their legend picks. And so what Hakis is able to do by experimenting is try and find them a niche, an edge, a lot like the lifeline for Aurora. And we've actually made that comparison before saying, well, you know, we've got these two teams that are experimenting. And I think that the Alter...
01:54:03 Probably one of the easiest ones for Alter to play against because you can go over the spikes, whereas with Caustic Traps, with Watson Fences, you can't really do that. So definitely an experimental phase for Alliance. I don't think that it looks bad because they're incredibly talented outside of it, but I also don't think this actually suits them the best.
01:54:22 Well, interestingly, and I'll leave this to you, Tiff, my mind goes to what does Alter bring? I mean, why is Hockey's thinking of this, right? And you brought up Catalystia. It kind of sparked my mind. I want to see how you think about it, Tiff. Is it a semi-counter to Catalyst? I mean, you're holding walls, you're creating walls, you're creating doors. Alter just goes through that pretty easily, so you don't have to worry about ever being blocked out of a spot that you want to get aggressive on? Okay, but, okay, yes, yes, yes. So I think that's great that you're going to throw it to me because let's go ahead and bring up the man named Tech.
01:54:51 And this has completely ruined all of my ranked games, thank you tech, in North America at one point in time. He was pairing Altar with Crypto, right? So you immediately throw down the EMP and you use Altar to lay siege to a building that might have been super defensive alongside the Catalyst with the ferrofluid reinforcing the doors. And granted, all the changes that came through for Catalyst at the start of season 21 with upheaval, yeah, a lot of people locking her back in. But at the end of the day, I think it's interesting to see.
01:55:20 what they're utilizing. Now, granted, the fights that we've witnessed from Alliance from our first two games really haven't showcased Alter in some of the best light that we could have seen, right? You guys were casting it. You were saying, hey, she's great to get you back onto high ground. It gives you a little bit more of that verticality that Horizon typically did with the Gravity League.
Ich also möchte, was sie geben.
01:56:07 We're giving that away, but enough about that, because we could honestly go on forever, you guys. We got the map rotation. We got game number three. Thank you guys for being patient. We wanted to make sure that all players were connected up to that lobby. So go, Rain Day. Enjoy that break. Dia and I, we got you from here. Thanks, guys. Bye, Rain Day. It was nice having him on for just a little while in between the games. But as we said, last game of World's Edge has been coming for quite a while now.
01:56:35 I do wonder what we'll get to see. We have, as is the Tiff Boon, shall we say, had two northern zones so far, albeit in very different sides of the map, very different looks at how these teams will choose to play. So for game number three, I'm expecting this one actually to be entirely different, but I've said that before and I have been bitten by it. So Tiff.
01:56:58 What's your guess? You know, I honestly, I don't know. It would really be cool if we could get a southern zone for World's Edge. I have not seen a thermal station zone in a very long time. And when I look at the list of potential zones that we've witnessed so far and split to across all regions, not a single thermal station zone has appeared. So as we kick things off with DMS over here in Climatizer, a very location that Taskmaster is experienced playing from.
01:57:28 Already, I mean, an incredible start. And because they've got the Evil Harvester spawning just north of them as well, I mean, this is not that far out of the way for Acclimatizer Team. I think it's a really good look.
01:57:39 DMS early on. It does require that they move a little bit further to the south with this particular zone, however. And that's something we can look forward to in the next couple of minutes, as a lot of teams will be making their way over towards the mod stacks area. And DMS have the opportunity to move in through the eastern side of the ring, sort of mirroring Nine Lies out of Overlook.
01:58:04 We'll have to see what that looks like. You're right, you got the Evo Cash. We're already grabbing some of those well-needed attachments. You can see that heavy Mac ping, but let's go ahead.
Spielverlauf und Strategische Entscheidungen auf World's Edge
01:58:1301:58:13 We'll go ahead and see where the zone is going to be going to, because we've already talked about that rotation. Will it go north? Will it go south? What's in store for some of our squads? We've got to check in with that. And well, hello, 07 gifted a beneficial zone. I mean, it's kind of crazy that 07 do not have to rotate that far. And with Aurora right there, they actually might get caught off guard early. I do want to highlight, however, that some of the teams like DMS.
01:58:59 Sounds like there's some action already occurring because a lot of our squads will start collapsing on each other, whether they decide which choke point they would like to go through. And Aurora in particular will have that ring console. They'll have the survey beacon. So whatever information they'd like to gather from that survey beacon, allowing them. But next up, we talked about this, right? Those choke points outside of landslide bring them a lot of action.
01:59:52 You've got to be weary about how you're going to keep that reset moving, but for Go Next Esports, already finding some good damage here, straight on over. Kashira grabs that knock onto Nine Impulse from the high ground. We don't want to let Hardeki get a chance to even let that Lifeline Rez go through, and Kashira is on another level. He is just throwing down so much damage. It's Kashira's day.
02:00:15 And Aurora are down. We did talk about them getting caught off guard. I thought it was going to be by 07, but no. A really nice wall up to the high ground by Gome next takes them all the way back into...
02:00:28 This is also called Grandma's House, so don't be confused, guys. It's the other Grandma's House. All the Grandma's Houses. Plenty of Grandma's that live in World's Edge, and we just have to make sure that we're visiting all of them. But for Go Next, this is a house that you would typically see a Watson team kind of take home. Now, granted, Aurora, Landing and Geyser get privy towards that first zone that pops their way, right? But that's very counterintuitive when it comes to the way that Aurora likes to play, very edge-oriented.
02:00:57 Already being in that next zone where you have to fend off the majority of teams rotating in, it's just not going to fare well for you. I do want to highlight that it wasn't just Aurora that went down there, but a couple members of ANC outplayed as well. So our squad that was taking home a lot of seconds is now put in a very difficult position where it's probably not going to be their game to recover banners. They don't have a lot of ways to make their way out of center zone. This fight all the way in the west.
02:02:11 Rotate north to go south again? Or do we just play our own game and stay through staging?
Man-Scans? Ich liebe es. So, jetzt haben sie die Man-Scan.
02:02:45 They should know exactly where to find and where to gatekeep teams from, as Exo, we're still caught up in Love of Fisher, and Alliance, we just saw, move down to staging.
02:02:54 I love that we've kind of got these off-kilter picks with Revenant and Alter, but regardless of what they've decided for those Legend comps, that team is still averaging their placement 16.5 over the course of two maps. So I'd love to see that kind of boosted up here for the final edge and final game of World's Edge. Alliance still over in staging, but with that zone, I'm really curious to see where we pull to because Geyser zones are incredibly fickle and we split the distance and center on up.
02:03:23 Ich glaube, es ist einfach so schwierig.
02:03:52 It is looking increasingly like we are pulling into this area that does require a lot of teams to basically make a wild sprint at some point in the next three zones towards those rocks.
02:04:05 Yeah, that's going to be tough. I'm looking at Nessie, who finds themselves just in the center of so many squads. And I love that our observers immediately bring us over to this free cam shot. You can see JMW and co. on the other side, rolling teams on the opposing side of Nessie, wanting to start maybe rotating throughout this. Now, however, that ring console scan, it would be cool to get it if they could, but I don't think Nessie is going to allow them. Bazaar on your screen goes for a little scout.
02:05:24 What is decided here is that DMS is still holding the outer choke point here playing extended from the monument area to our kind of rotating all the way towards that ring console while we leave one member out to left scan. Now Navi would have been the only team that would have rotated throughout in CyberCats. They hit the rotate through tunnel like you had mentioned towards the outskirts of Geyser and are starting to rotate in here towards the low ground. They have that scan.
02:06:07 Cybercats don't have a whole lot to shoot at for right now. The choke points leading into Geyser have now been transitioned. Those power points that we talked about earlier have moved into other spots over by the depths of Geyser.
02:06:21 I do like where cats are at, but it does require that they keep a sharp eye, not just in front of them for any kills, but behind them as well. In fact, I want to take a moment to look at that and maybe draw a little bit to illustrate exactly what I'm talking about. Cybercats do have the risk of Nessie coming in behind them. It's actually very likely that Nessie do this, in which case Cybercats or Nessie are probably going to die here. Then, of course, having to transition into these rocks. The other option is for Nessie to fight rolling teams and then move into...
02:08:0202:08:02 Give them a second to prep up. We did talk about how important this cooldown, this particular cooldown, when you're running Fuse, the mother load is so dynamic, can do so much. As they prepare for that, we've got another fight cooking. Another low ground, another PK, and Kryzen gets deleted. Exoclan has looked so solid when it comes to their mechanical skills, bringing Brynn into the mix alongside Slayers in case we need that long form duo.
02:08:32 Now, once you've already turned numbers over towards your advantage, it's Slayers here, running that double AR meta that we saw brought into the mix in Split 1. Withstanding the Bang ult, I guess play underneath here and just focus on resetting to full health. It does seem that for the moment, Exo don't have a lot to worry about. This ring...
02:08:54 No, aber wir haben die...
02:09:16 Horizon ult available. We lose out on Kinda. Trojan eliminated 15 squads up into the late stages here. And it is just chaotic. Because we're coming on board with Alliance. An average placement of 16.5. We're looking to improve that here. We're full sending straight on to fellow Navi squad. Grabbing that knock on to Matafe. This should just be Tyler. Left standing. A swing comes in. Yeah, you grab effect. But the remnants of Hackus and Unlucky there. They hit the trade.
02:09:44 It's a great time to use Avoid Nexus. I mean, if you can't reach all the way to your Noct member, being able to get them back is going to be massive. Rolling teams taking their fight. We knew this was going to happen up against Nessie. Bizarre. Gets chunked down. Might have time to pop this battery, but it's battery or life. We'll find out which.
02:10:03 Well, Grace will grab that well-needed scan to give him the information on where Bizarre is, but with nearby teams being picked up on that scan, he's not going to be able to finish off rolling teams. DMS right now, the savior of that squad. They'll come in, grab the Thirst and, well, take any loot. Looks like we're grabbing Arcstars, Phoenix gets in some more Bats and Tasks. Just one of the quickest looters. Honestly, one of the quickest shield swappers I've ever seen and has done waves with it, so that was really nice.
02:10:31 Very impressive here with Nags, Arctic, and Cynetic finding success.
02:11:00 You look towards where 07 is. Well, they're not in the lobby anymore. And they had started in Lava Siphon. And next up would have taken that position where likely 07 would have been. But for Nine Lines Esports, who were beginning their journey in the geyser buildings, have moved up onto this high ground and are now the object of everyone's attention, such as GoNext Esports, who have to move.
02:11:21 Analyze just don't have enough cover to play with right now. Smokes surely on cooldown. Maybe they've got one at this point. It's a solo of Cats in front of them, but Alliance are fighting next up for the bridge. They've got the HP gain on Nox in the Beast of the Hunt, and they just want to take all the angles. You mentioned Alliance would move in down on the low ground, but I don't know if they were ready to deal with next up from the hype. Alliance deleted Cyber Cats.
02:11:47 I feel like I'm reading a receipt over here as our lobby has just disintegrated. And that means that no one now has access to the high ground. Train tracks are really the be-all and end-all of this lobby. DMS with one of the last opportunities to actually fight next up for the last remaining slivers of these train carts. They're going to move up on the first one. Taskmaster needs to find an opener on DMS. Or rather, on next up. We'll see if they can do it.
02:12:15 In the meantime, a lone member of ANC Outplayed is looking for yet again another second place. In between all of the chaos that we're witnessing, go next over there on the low ground. Next up, playing from where that train track really shelters them. And you can see Shex over there just on the screen. He's vibing. Ratting in a Bloodhound meta? Couldn't be me. This is actually unbelievable that ANC Outplayed...
02:12:42 get two of their members taken out, without Watts and without any of the tools that they would normally have in an endgame, have still managed to make it into the top five and could make it even further. That is absolutely bonkers Apex Legends to me. You should just be really grateful that no one mowed the grass down there because we've got some cover with them.
02:13:29 The only, rather the onus, to unseat NextUp, just above them. Now can no longer do it. Watsonfence is right above, meaning that you really don't get to play that game anymore. NextUp, have full high ground DMS just below them. This should be your squads that are able to access the first, second place. I do wonder whether GoNext can hold on to this headpeak. Will the zone deny them that? Or do they get to share in a pseudo high ground with NextUp?
GoNext Esports Triumph und Spielanalyse
02:13:5802:13:58 They do. The scans come through and we're going to use a mobile beacon there to have some excess cover. Yes, ANC outplayed falls in fourth place and we're into the final three here. But this is going to be scary and where I would have loved to see Alliance in the endgame with the altar to use Void Passage to try and change on through all of the high and low ground areas.
02:14:20 Für einen anderen Tag. Wir warten zu sehen. Kai, though. Longbow in Hand.
02:14:40 I like this move from Next up because it shifts the focus of the game. They were absolutely going to get focused by GoNext should they stay on high ground, but now DMS is arguably the easier squad for GoNext to shoot at. They're just making the series of decisions that much easier using GoNext's position to their advantage because GoNext can't overswing. They can't peek on low ground because they risk getting shot out by DMS.
02:15:04 I feel like this is one of those cat memes on a snow day. It's like, what are they doing over there? And GoNexus is just watching, waiting to see what's going to happen. Yes, we're hearing the knuckle clusters kind of come through and maybe some pressure, but Watson's going to eat all of that regardless if they try to put that pressure down there on NextUp.
02:15:24 It's just the calm before the storm. DMS will eventually have to give up this room. Right underneath them, next up, have priority on Watson fences that DMS would have to drop into. But surely these two squads will fight. Surely go next is the team to walk away with the win here. They are well positioned for it. And it would be their second win on World's Edge of the day. Right underneath them, next up, start moving in.
02:15:49 They don't actually find the knock on any of them. Instead, it's Prestes from DMS that goes down. That's very true. We do have Beast of the Hunt available, and from here on the high ground, last move, yes, the Motherload comes their way, which is kind of that last-ditch effort to keep that pressure, but Kashira goes down. Something works over there, and next up, hit that rotation onto the immediate low ground. Time is of the essence, but can we get Kashira back up? It's not looking. Likelihood, but you can play with the knockdown. Next up, though, Synetic.
02:17:18 I am amazed by the way these teams played around each other, and GoNex did really well to hang on to the high ground. Their job was arguably the easiest, and I think that both DMS and NextUp, upon recognizing the next zone pull, knew that realistically GoNex was going to win the game, as hard as DMS did try to actually upset that balance.
02:17:39 In hindsight, now that we've kind of seen it play through and we knew when the zone started to shift that Go Next was going to be able to hold that high ground longer than, let's say, Next Up, right? Do you think it was a mistake for Next Up to give up that high ground? No, absolutely. If Next Up stay on high ground, they actually fold Eye in third. There's no way for them to live there because, and we kind of saw it play out, but with Go Next, I'm trying to like draw with my hands here, but like Go Next have this high ground to look over.
02:18:23 I want you to draw it later and I want you to send me a picture of it because you're an artist over there with the Telestrator. Once you give Dia a Telestrator, the world is his oyster. Literally, world's edge. We'll see it in Stormpoint later. Let's go ahead and pull up those match results to see how it panned out for the rest of our lobby because we've seen a lot of consistency throughout the majority of our squads today. And now we just wait to see how it panned out.
02:18:44 Okay, can we give a huge shoutout, by the way, to ANCOutplayed for making it all the way to fourth with four KP? I cannot believe the consistency of this squad, although the delta between them and DMS is, of course, quite notable, with DMS actually having been able to play the rest of the game.
02:19:00 I mean, it's pretty impressive, right? A 27-point game there for GoNext Esports. I said a 20-point game was really, on average, a good one, a great one. And NextUp was able to obtain that. But GoNext takes it one step forward with that 27. You've got to see how that's going to shake up. Nessie, though, found themselves in that issue there with rolling teams early on. And should they have been able to stay up and prevent the onslaught that DMS was bringing in through that choke point, maybe they could have gone further.
Stormpoint Strategien und Gastanalyse
02:19:2902:19:29 Well, quite possibly. I mean, looking at the way that DMS played that, I am surprised that teams like CyberCats weren't able to stand in their way. But to even find CyberCats, you've got to look at the bottom half of the leaderboard, because they were unable to really leverage the position that should have aged well into the zone that...
02:19:45 Ich war erst mal an, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um,
02:20:07 You're talking about not living that long. I'm looking at Aurora Landing, Geyser 07 Landing, Lava Siphon. It doesn't matter. You can talk all you want on the timeline, but when you get a zone that would benefit you in Lava Siphon and you go out in 20th place, that has got to feel tough. But for our series results, the teams that have remained consistent will find themselves at the top. Go Next Esports, 47 points after three games. Quite impressive there, Dia.
02:20:31 Yeah, staying well ahead of the pack, DMS, just 11 points behind them with ANC outplayed, sandwiched between the two, keeping it there consistently, unshakably. As we move into Stormpoint, I can't help but wonder, because you actually brought this up at the start of the broadcast, HIF, but whether teams are actually going to be able to play for KP.
02:20:51 in Stormpoint, and to the detriment of ANC outplayed, because that is the one area in which they really do lack, especially when compared to other teams. They don't play aggressively. Yeah, I don't think we talked enough about that, because a lot of people went into their POI draft picks thinking, where can we win the most World's Edge maps from? And then focus on that Stormpoint KP, like you mentioned. But Rain Day, we've got to get you back in here. Welcome, welcome, welcome. We've got a lot of things to shake down before we move on over to Stormpoint.
02:21:17 Yeah, and you guys hit the nail on the head with all of the intricacies of that final zone, yet again giving Go Next Esports a chance to get their second win out of three. We were talking about ANC Outplayed. They've played a completely different style, get into top two, top two, and then ultimately a top four, which is incredibly efficient, and that lands them second place overall. But teams like DMS, and now especially teams like Go Next, showing the value of being able to win games. Now, they got 11th in their second game.
02:21:47 Which is, again, lacking consistency in that same way. But where does that firepower land? Kashira, we know him. He was in the middle of that play that ended up turning into Hal comes down from the heavens. It could have easily been Kashira comes from the other side of the rock and kills Hal. Wouldn't have been as epic of a call, I think. But I do, however, feel that he's somebody who knows how to win games when it matters. That's an important element to remember for Go Next. And I know somebody.
02:22:13 who's keyed in on important elements to win games, or at least to win match days. In fact, he won match day number one yesterday. We've got a very special guest to help break down the action. It is Luca Andena, otherwise known as Luke, the coach of Gaming Gladiators. Luca, it's great to have you here on the broadcast, and congratulations on winning yesterday.
02:22:33 Thank you very much. It's very nice to be here. And thank you for having us, having me. Yeah. Well, you know, let's go to it. Because having us, Gaming Gladiators, you guys were previously Omit. You've got new representation heading into this split. How has it been prepping for split two? And as a coach, what has it been like knowing all of the changes happening just from a roster and org perspective? And then also the POI draft. How have you handled that and managed to come out with a win in the first day?
02:23:02 Well, we've had a lot on our plates, obviously, with our change. And we also swapped, as you saw, our roles around. Because in the past we had the issue with Lufka having instincts to be an anchor. He has perfect instincts to be an anchor. But we had the last play anchor, because he played anchor all of his life. Lufka had played Franker all of his life, so it just made sense to keep them that way.
02:24:29 Not much time. And then the draft came. So we've had to prepare for how to draft, which PS to draft, how to handle teams drafting around us tendencies. Black Lilith International, for example, changing all their tendencies on draft day and definitely not throwing us off. It was definitely a pleasure to see them completely change.
02:25:12 I love that. I love that. You gave us a lot of information, so thank you so much for that. I want to take it just a little bit deeper when it comes to that POI draft in particular, right? You guys came into your match one day with 19th and 22nd pick, which in my opinion, picking bottom tier, right? You kind of come back with that snake draft to grab your second POI. But in split one, you guys go Seuss Station, launch site, typically, right?
02:25:35 You were able to get Launch Site for World's Edge, but you switched things up and you grabbed Echo, which is as almost far south as you could go for Stormpoint. And you get, what, two to three days to make any necessary arrangements in terms of your macro-rotation gameplay? Kind of talk me more through how you guys prepped to go with that.
02:25:54 Okay, so in our mind, we know that we are good enough to where we can pretty much play the vast majority of the POIs and succeed with them. And so picking Echo at 21st instead of maybe something more close to our Zeus, with what we are familiar with.
Du hast alles in deinem Pockets.
02:26:50 Pick up three points. And it's just too good of a POI to leave it there just for what comfort, when we can just push it a little further, spend that extra hour studying who is around us, how to move based on what they're doing, and just excel on an amazing POI.
02:27:13 Now, we started things off talking about the early game. I'm going to pull a sharp left turn and bring us right into the endgame because I want to get your opinion on what happened during these first three final circles. So we'll start off with game one. This was Gonext's first victory and you got to see how it happened. What was the most important part of the game perhaps leading up to this end circle for you?
02:27:37 Well, I was expecting, honestly, whoever came out of the choke towards Landslide to win the game, because it just made sense in my mind, because whoever comes out of there, realistically, has, what, red armors, probably, and kitted guns, because you're gonna kill.
02:28:5002:28:50 We really got to see how good Kashera is at fighting. Last game didn't really demonstrate that nearly as much, although, granted, he still did get to fight because of the high ground advantage that they had. But how do you even navigate a zone like this that pulls so far south, especially when a lot of people are planning to have this come basically right next to Geyser?
02:29:42 So you can immediately say, okay, I'm going to fight this team between Mod and Trucker. You fight the team, even if the fight seems scary, because it obviously is not a fight that's easy. But you just have to take it. So you level up your armors, you level up your loot, and then you are able to hold teams out. And you are going to control the height. I didn't really, I got distracted because I had to fix some technical issues. I didn't really see how...
02:30:12 Taskmaster's team lost control of the height, but say that I had kept it, we probably would have seen a different winner that game.
02:30:22 Well, Luke, it's so great to hear from you. Your analytical mind for the game clearly has put you and Gaming Gladiators in a position to win. Keep it up. It's been a pleasure. Thank you for all of that really heavy and deep analysis. I'm sure we'll be playing that back again just to learn more and more from all of the thoughts here as a coach. Congratulations on your win, and thank you so much for joining us on Halftime. Thank you very much. All right, Gaming Gladiators Head Coach there, Luke.
02:30:50 Dia, great job. You've catched like three in a row. We're going to send you on a break. Tiff and I are going to take this next one as we get ready to go into game four. Thank you for everything. And Tiff, as we transition now into you and me starting this cast and obviously switching over into Storm Point.
Storm Point Map Fokus und Teamstrategien
02:31:0502:31:05 It's going to be a big deal because these teams now, like you have so aptly mentioned in terms of their choices, their picks, how do they capitalize now on StormPoint? A lot of teams prioritize this map and need results here, especially since we've seen three top contenders, DMS, ANC, Outplay, and GoNex really take the top of the charts and kind of separate themselves from the pack.
02:31:26 Yeah, you've got to do exactly that. And if you maybe didn't have the best performance on World's Edge, I'm looking at teams like 07, like Eternal, Rolling Teams, Atlas, Free Agent Kids. Like, these are the times for you to kind of start off strong since this will be the first time we're witnessing Group C here.
02:31:43 So a lot of those teams, we didn't even get to look at the flyby where the front of our squads are going to be landing. Torosian, their first pick, they locked in the mill. That was the first picked POI for Stormpoint. Lightning Rod from 07 right off the rip. That's going to force Alliance to go take something else and they're going Stormcatcher, which is relatively, you know, a similar rotation for them. And it's interesting that you bring this up.
02:32:09 Also, by the way, maybe first wingman I have seen. Oh, he drops it again. What's going on? I love the wingman. Pro's not using it. It has not come back. In many ways, maybe they're just trying not to get it nerfed again so that they can keep it in the game and not get vaulted. But ultimately, I do think that the way that we've approached the POI draft, it's been different from each team. Some teams have actively said, you know, we feel like we're weak on World's Edge. RKN mentioned that in the halftime approach yesterday. So we're just going to pick the best thing we can on World's Edge to try to
02:32:38 My question is, Tiff, you know, with five points after three on World's Edge, knowing that it was like, what, their 38th, you know, the 38th choice.
02:33:01 Does that get into your head a little bit? Do you start to almost expect those results? Things aren't going well, game one, game two. Well, this is our 38th pick. We'll pick it up on Storm Point. I feel like a lot of teams can get into a mental struggle there, especially if they're not going on their priority pick as Eternal continues a little bit of a skirmish here.
02:33:17 Yeah, I hope not, right? Natsuki's been in competitive for so long, so you'd think he'd be able to just kind of go through forward without that. But for Eternal, going straight into that, cleaning up Nyx right there and just making their way through Millage, a lot of our squad scrambling, because as we got a good look at where that zone was pulling towards, heavy south Cybercats over at Echo HQ, you know, maybe it's because we just had Luke on the broadcast talking about their experience grabbing Echo HQ from Stormpoint and all the southern zones.
Frühe Kämpfe und POI-Kontroversen auf Storm Point
02:33:4502:33:45 Maybe a little bit of Manifestation. Who's to say the Force is not with him? I'm not sure. I love Echo HQ, by the way. One of my favorite zones. Favorite places to land in Storm Point. I think actually my favorite place to land. So much loot. A great early game fight. A lot of options. A lot of ways to play it. Whether you get there a little bit late. Or whether you're right on time. Eternal, speaking of right on time. First fight of our Storm Point matchup here in Game 4. And they get 3 KP. Easy. Send Trojans back to the lobby.
02:34:14 Just like that.
02:34:15 Wow. Wow. I thought this was a POI draft. I thought we weren't contesting again. I guess my eyes are deceiving me here. And while it isn't a contest, you certainly feel that the pressure was not something that 07 was ready for. Our Denmark duke.
02:34:45 Nasky, you know, talking a lot about him over the last split and now interviewed him in halftime yesterday and now 07's performance today on their debut, just five points with four games gone and two games left. What is up? You know, to me, this is a, it's okay to ask that question. What is up? They've got a lot of talent, obviously Zane, somebody that Nasky's pretty familiar with, really confident on.
02:35:10 You gotta be wondering what's going on behind the scenes, which just isn't working for them to get started here on either map. Yeah, it's tough as we get this good free cam over here. Teams making their way into Echo HQ and fighting for it. You've already got the Dark Veil and the Mother Lode in the Chokepoint DMS in third place after Three Worlds Edge. Scan Connects gives them information and Prestes letting that Hemlock rip. Gonzo down, Rakafaka down. Where's Vyfez? Probably within those knockdown shields.
02:35:37 I don't think we leave this high ground and extend out, but Taskmaster is going to do it while we've got one watching from the back. We'll see if they're going to be able to get it. But go back to your point. Honestly, Aurora and Stormcatcher know just how you need to rotate out of Lightning Rod. So they just caught 07 right off the rip, knowing that it's a south zone, which way they're going to choose. If they don't come through Stormcatcher, it's going to happen over on towards the right side. And that's exactly what happened. They just read it.
02:36:32 Can we just run that back? That was the craziest car chase I've ever witnessed. And for Nobby to come out on top of that one?
02:36:52 Fast and Furious has a new meaning here in the ALGS. And Stormpoint with Tridents introducing a whole new way to get around. Here's Nessie trying to get involved as well. You guys are looking at the trailer for the new Fast and Furious movie. Yeah, this is it. Fast and Furious, Stormpoint. Fast and Furious 23, yeah. I love it, I love it. Somebody's got to make that into a meme edit, Tiff. It's got to happen.
02:37:16 A little emerald gem rolled action or something? You never know, you never know, but Nessie here on the screen.
02:37:22 Showed some signs of life in that final World's Edge when it comes to getting into a solid position. You can see they're playing off that scan that knows where that next zone will be headed towards. But as soon as teams start to identify that we're going Aiko HQ, they're immediately moving in just like Alliance, fresh off their domination of 07. Grabs that early knock onto one member of Messi, so a 3v2 here, Reign. And a much more consistent lineup for Alliance here, tried and true, Catalyst, Bangalore, Bloodhound.
02:37:51 Pretty much near 100% picks for the two, and Catalyst as well, rounding out probably a strong 65% choice of that flex pick, especially on Storm Point. May even go higher. JMW surviving, but is he thriving? Probably not. Alliance Hockey's quick peek for the Havoc. Should send JMW back to the lobby, and I say should because those were a couple of missed bullets. Sometimes you can't outplay a bad situation. Does he have enough in the tank, though?
02:38:4002:38:40 You can see that it's just viable here for Stormpoint and stay healthy on that edge of where that next zone will be collecting. They're going to have to move in here after we decide what to do with teams like Alliance and Kneecap. Stay healthy. Falcons, man, his SEO has gone way up over this last few weeks here. Happens to have the right name for the timing of ALGS News. We'll see if Stay Healthy can continue here. 14 points.
02:39:09 We get a nice overview of the map. And Echo HQ, we said we love it in terms of a drop spot. Well, certainly love it for Go Next Esports. And next up, we're next to each other, ready to hold down that zone. A lot of space to play there in Echo as well. Atlas, one of the high ground points, kind of making sure to deter anybody who tries to climb up on any of these stairs, which is a very popular place to hold.
02:39:34 Go next on the low ground Atlas, making sure. And honestly, once a team decides to anchor down below you, it's very tough to look for angles. But you're just going to have to keep in mind that they are still down below. Koshira, fully healthy, just underneath. Now, I know you can get some angles here throughout the stairs. It's just not a fun fight. But since it's on the backside of Echo HQ, as opposed towards that eastern side.
02:39:58 We'll just see what Atlas is able to do with it.
02:40:27 That will work here. Exoclan as well making a rotation, avoiding Navi, or at least maybe throwing that Bangalore Rolling Thunder to deter Navi.
02:40:36 That's a big rotation in from Exoclan lighting Trident up in the north. And now have Navi, who have found success already on Stormpoint. Three eliminations all towards Aurora. Beast of the Hunt invested, but about to expire. And now we'll just have to rely on scans. Metafe, though, gets one smoke up in Atom. And it seems they've done enough to force Exoclan to dive deeper towards Echo HQ.
02:41:01 Here's the thing, does Navi wrap around and maybe look to clear out Pylon before they hit the rotation to Echo HQ? Yeah, I mean, that is a good point. You know, Stormpoint for me, and I know Tiff, and anyone who's watched and played this game, there's a lot of options in some ways on how to rotate, but in many ways there aren't. It's a difficult map.
02:41:43 Patalyst Ultimate is going to be a big deal. Bangalore Ultimates as well on if you feel like you can make that rotation at least at the right time. We know Navi just spent theirs, so may just be patiently waiting here until they get some more utility because it is a bit dangerous.
02:41:56 Speaking of dangerous, I'm looking at Nine Lies Esports, playing that high ground over there, anchored in from where that zone has centered up. This is going to make the great collapse of Echo HQ even more scary when it comes to terms. Cybercats, they land in Echo HQ. They've been here since the beginning, and next up joins them. Now, there's going to be a lot of poke and shove over there, and for Novi, looking to hit that evac tower outside of Echo HQ, they're going to have to choose, despite where are we headed, we're extending out to play.
02:43:45 What fight? There's just seven nades. That is the fight. We're like, all right, here's three Arc Stars. Anyone got any frags? Okay, let's throw those down. They're going to get one knock. And Zeri, you can see, looking for that angle, Apex, Warlords bring in some action to them. Now, once you've already done that much damage towards that team, it's going to be tough for them to hit that Regain. But FA Kids, they make their way in from Pylon's side of things and land. But look how much damage we're taking. Once you make that play towards too late on.
02:44:37 You can see Apex Warlords and Ninebongo, Maxi, Bambino, they all have angles onto that spot where FA Kids are trying to hold. And also FA Kids, if they start moving forward, are going to be forced into Natas Vincere. Natas Vincere on the other side. Now, this is starting to look interesting for our Echo teams because GoNexC Sports, they're planning for this pull south. But Tiff, it doesn't go as south as they're expecting. So they're going to have to move in. And in fact, the team, like you see there, we were just talking about.
02:45:06 Not really having enough cover. And that should be the end of FA Kids. But they're going to survive as long as they can. Should be. We get Kiner back in. And he just goes down to 1 HP. He's not going to have the...
02:45:19 He wants to grab Banner, but he's got to win this fight. Tebow coming out.
02:45:48 75 damage as well. Bangalore slides, he'll go down. It's just Jay Savage. What can he do? Dooley from Forgegang, but he's revealed in the mother load, and he's going to take a mother load of damage right there in the smoke. It's just a day late and a dollar short for them. The rotation was not where they wanted it to be, and so FA Kids will fall down, albeit they'll put up a good fight and force Maxi, Nine Bongo, into a tough spot here as they took a lot of damage going to secure that kill on them.
Just push-on in Hip-Fire connects. Und Task 1 HP in A Dream.
02:47:03 Yes, it was Kneecap. And so now they have cleared out their backside. They're the only team on the northern side of this zone. And they can walk straight in. However, it's the top three. Faster than we would have expected if eight teams died in a matter of a minute. And it sets up a rolling teams and not a Sven Seer who may get out of that fray because of a nice pull in Alliance.
02:47:26 Alliance coming into this game in 7th place overall. Have already made it up to 5th. You can see they're going to drop that shield core, grab that bat, and have something to be said for when they decide to make that play into the next zone. I love that we get the picture in picture because rolling teams on the...
Endgame-Strategien und Team-Eliminierungen
02:47:4202:47:42 Advantiv side of where the zone is going to pull, but Alliance a short distance away. Navi has the longest journey coming straight out of Echo, and you can see they're already hugging the mountainside trying to hit that rotation, but how do you reach into this INC Armory? I don't see any nades in the hands of Unlucky. We do have the Dark Veil to really use for the endgame, but you got to keep your eyes on Navi for the time being.
02:48:06 Yeah, now this is where having Catalyst is huge. Both teams end up having it that we focused on here. Alliance and Rolling Teams. Now, not as sincere. I don't remember what they were running, but it's possible if they have a Catalyst here, we could see through three walls, excuse me, from both of those teams because they're a little bit out of zone, just out of cover of this rock. They might have to push in just a bit. And Unlucky, of course, trying to make things as hard as possible.
02:48:48 Exactly, but what Navi's going to do is they're actually swinging around towards the low ground. They grab a knock on to Adam. Matafe answers back with a rolling thunder. And Tyler does have the black hole should he decide to use that. They've already made it a 3v3v2. This decision to grab some cover instead of letting Alliance take that engagement to them could have prolonged their life here towards the endgame. There's the wall. It's a little late. Navi make a good move, though, and they take down one of RTS, who are still somehow alive.
02:49:40 They do not need to overextend here, but keep that pressure down south, and they do just that. Here comes the blood scan, so they're going to be sitting on effects radar. For the time being, it sounds like rolling teams might have gotten their third back in, but Navi sends Alliance before they can focus on healing the topic, anchoring from the back, sending all the damage down, elimination to be had.
02:50:31 Win of Split 2. Well done, rolling teams. And honestly, getting into that IMC Armory early on allowed them to have the most cover out of any of our teams in that endgame. It's a shame that we lost out on Adam right away from overextending. But the quick thinking to throw it back down and get him into the lobby really just saved them. Yeah, that was huge. And that's the benefit of time. That's the benefit of the zone rotations. And it's also Nadis Vinciar who kind of helped that. If there were two defensive teams who were kind of vying for holding space.
02:51:00 and using Catalyst walls with Dark Veils to really, I guess, make it so no one could get aggressive on them, might have been a different story. Maybe Pressure would have shifted onto RTS to make a move earlier, but because Na'Vi only had the Horizon, their really plan and their only way to go was to get aggressive with that Black Hole and ended up rotating Alliance off of that rock, and then they were able to capitalize. And I think each team played that to the strengths of how they were built to win.
02:51:26 Ultimately, RTS, we're just the stronger team in that position. A nice win from them, Tiff, and a good start, especially on StormPoint.
02:51:33 Yeah, definitely. And all I could think about while you were saying that was Gojo in this scene in the manga of him. Nah, I'd win. And that's exactly what they did. Well, that's why you gotta lock him up. That's why you gotta put him in the box. Yeah, you just can't let Gojo in there. Pretty insane. You know, I would say that some people feel that has occurred in the landscape of Apex. Maybe some super team, some super identity that if even in the playing field means that nobody else has a chance. But in the end of the day, Emiya...
02:52:00 You know, this is a region with a lot of parody and a lot of new teams showing up and saying, we belong in the conversation for first. Whether it's ANC Outplayed and their consistency on World's Edge, which is diverted here on Stormpoint, or it's these pop-off moments that we've seen not as sincere rolling teams have a chance at huge top three from teams that were not in any of our previous top threes to appear in Stormpoint as a great start for them.
02:52:27 A great start is 21 points. Navi, though, 11 eliminations. Now, mind you, kinda was that kill leader in yesterday's matchup in A and B with 15 eliminations.
02:52:38 Could potentially be looking to run back to the top of the leaderboard of that. But Alliance showing up, we said, you know, in ninth place overall outside of, you know, the first three matches. So bolstering that position, right? 16.5 average placement at one point. This has got to boost that up. Stay healthy, though. We saw them in DMS trying to make that rotation into Echo HQ. So I'd love to jump on over towards the second page here and see what happened to Cybercats who actually land in.
02:53:06 Echo HQ, 2 points. Big story is Aurora ANC outplayed in 07 with 0 points as well as Exoclan, all top performers in World's Edge outside of 07. But when you look at our top three teams...
02:53:20 Well, one of the things that stands out to me is Alliance definitely picking it up, even on their lesser selection for their map. But I think also when you consider that Nadas Vincere, formerly Vexed, this team with Matafe now is TylerFPS and Kinda holding it down as that secondary duo really has always thrived on Stormpoint and in this chaos. And Tiff, this game was a lot more chaotic than we saw in World's Edge. People started fighting and it feels like
02:53:49 Ich glaube, die action nie stopt. Von 20 teams all the way down to 1. I mean, a lot of that started with the Lions taking down 07 on that rotation, down out of Lightning, Rob. But how it panned out, go next Esports. A lot of hype from Luke there on that halftime for Kashera. It is already here with 52 total points. A tie for 2nd and 3rd place between some of our really consistent teams in terms of DMS and ANC outplayed. But next up, Navi starting to make waves up there. Rain Day.
02:54:19 That's how it stands after now. Teams who are winning, well, they're getting themselves to the top per usual, but we've had some real strong consistent performances across all of our teams in EMEA, so it's really anybody's game with two games left to go. You and Dia will be casting those, but before we do, if you want to check out any different perspectives from our main broadcast or all the amazing co-streams that we've got going on, check out faceit.com slash watch. That way you can hear your team's rotation, their comms, see how their POI draft is working for you.
02:54:48 in Split 2, on Match Day 2, and give yourself the experience of watching the LGS that you prefer. I'm Randy, that's Tiff. We'll be right back with some more action here as Game 5 and 6 coming your way. Battle Beaver is the official controller partner of the Apex Legends Global Series.
02:56:44 It could have been either. I won't take it personally, honestly Tiff. I was sitting here in stunned silence watching the car chase that we got in Game 4 going...
02:57:09 What am I witnessing right now? I think we've seen like one half-car chase before. This was a real full-on Trident v. Trident situation. Ooh, well, who would you cast as The Rock and who would you cast as Vin Diesel in that moment between Navi and Aurora? That is important. I don't have enough data on their status of balding to give you that answer. Perfect, great. Whatever team has more of that. Great, I love that that's what you're going with, so...
02:57:38 The status of Balding. All right, Dia, you do not suffer from any of that. But we got a good look at that map rotation there. And, well, the flyby of the drop spot, since we didn't really get to see it prior to map number four. But a lot of interesting things occurred there in map four, Dia. And honestly, one of it was 07, right?
02:57:57 Lightning Rod, they rip it from Alliance, Alliance lands Stormcatcher, and on that rotation down south towards Echo HQ, Alliance is just meeting them in wait, and they took them out. Do we think we'll see something similar occur here in map 5 and 6? I suspect that while we may not see exactly the same play, that the rivalry between these teams will continue, especially because...
02:58:46 Yeah, exactly. I think that's really smart to say. And I had a chance over the course of the past couple of days to watch a lot of these POI draft watch parties that we've been witnessing. NiceWig's done some. I know Greek has as well. And one thing that they like to ask their community is who won the POI draft in terms of getting the...
03:00:02 No, I think that's fair. And for Exo, who got Trident, right? That's exactly what they used here to wrap around onto wall, looking for KP straight on to kneecap, the scan, the smoke, all of the information. And the Hemlock iron sights are one of the grossest things I've ever seen, but still making it work there. I mean, this is also incredibly confident.
03:00:44 On to Northpad, saying, we're gonna land Northpad, we're gonna send you. Now the same thing's happening for ExoClan. Looks like they certainly can send. I don't know if it'll go their way. Slayers goes down. Swinny may be next, but does find a counter knock. Bren doesn't have a grav lift. He's on a 20-second cooldown. I know he was looking for a potential way to get down there, and Slayers from the low ground now. Able, but the push from kneecap. Do you think this confidence...
03:01:23 I mean, the confidence on this is just as quick. Nessie have really responded so quickly to this fight that I can only suspect they knew it was coming, that they'd heard some whispers in the wind about what Exo were planning to do. They don't actually find the kills, however, nor any knocks to follow up on it, and now are kind of stuck in no man's land. Do they retreat back up onto the high ground? We've got even more teams showing up as 07 are taking potshots at kneecap from the high ground.
03:01:53 Oh, that's tough. Kryzen may have went down on that initial bout, but they get him back in thanks to the beacon there at wall. And I think this is where Nessie just invests the nades and says, maybe, just maybe, we don't want to push in yet. Once you realize that 07 is rotated out of Lightning Rod all the way throughout here to join in on the fray, I think you just call it a day. I am, like, I, I...
03:02:41 So I guess difference with that would be if Alliance are actually able to finish off a squad that looks like they are attempting to in Pylon. Hey, that nice rotation out of Stormcatcher paying off when the zones keep pulling south. This time, everyone's making their way over towards Pylon and as the zones intersect over that mountain south east of Pylon and with some of our squads that do land Devastated Coast rolling teams, they would have gotten there early on. And to see how we combat that.
03:03:10 We don't, because we don't even get to play the game. They're the first team that's eliminated from here just before this, and Alliance is able to move in toward that outer compound building towards the east of Quylon.
03:03:22 Oh seven now have to fight again with a couple of squads that we're still in the area We know that exo is still around here. We know that kneecap is as well. How do they balance it? Do they even or do they just continue the exo eight? Let's find out with the listen in on oh seven Get this go get this go boys watch me find this behind the blue, but he's batting kill him kill him kill him go kill him push him, please Nice musky good shit
03:05:24 like kneecap are gonna be sending it on up to the high ground exo still somehow alive but ultimately this may feed right back into the waiting 07 remember 07 actually picked up the survey beacon scan earlier so they know that teams are likely going to come back through wall and avoid the fight against fa kids on the low ground
03:05:47 Not looking super hopeful for Kneecap, as they do not have a lot of options. 07 waiting for them on the high ground. Nice catch on the Trident. Shouldn't mean a kill goes down to them. There goes the knock. There goes the full. ExoClan are full out of this game. Kneecap still waiting in the zone, however.
03:06:07 07. No mercy. That's what they're bringing into this. And, well, when that Bloodstown scan gives you that information, a nice scan in return. Maske, though, is not going to be able to take angles on the player beneath him, but he's going to jump down instead, ignoring the player in the building, leading that up to Amphi and Zayn. And we are on the prowl.
03:06:27 So we've seen Exo go down. Kneecap look like they are next on the chopping block. It's important to remember that these were the two teams that the whole first fight was started around up here in Wall to begin with. Kneecap do manage to survive for now, still sitting in Wall, but with the next zone starting to close, they haven't had the opportunity to pick up heals. And Tiff, it may be one of those rare times where we actually see a team full die to zone if they're not careful.
03:06:56 And they have one of the largest journeys to go, and hopefully Tolkien can make it happen. Look for some heals, which will be very precious. Little Lord of the Rings there for you, Navi. So kinda.
03:07:08 Knock right upon going. Now granted, they don't have very far to go. Almost in towards that next zone. We'll be able to deal with it. But look at DMS. That's ticking down. Oza's able to grab that syringe now. The syringe is the first thing that you want to chain together when you're outside of zone to give you enough time to maybe pop that 8-second medkit. But we'll touch on that later. Just chain them together nicely and don't get knocked.
03:07:32 Mhm. Especially when you've just been rezzed. If it's Zone 2, you have to go syringe that medkit. I am saying that for my benefit, because some people don't know, and some people on my team, I would like to know.
03:07:46 Well, Hardeki hier, calling out that information. Aurora, we still want to see another return to some of those top three finishes on World's Edge to finish out the day in DMS. From the skies here, straight into Pylon, looking for a building. Immediate scans coming in and little pokes to just info check them. But for now, they should be okay for the time being.
03:08:12 DMS have no real reason to give up any of this space, but with Fuse, I will say it's tough to hold on defensively to a position where you don't have high ground. So DMS not getting the most out of this spot, where they otherwise could be benefiting quite a bit from having just a little bit of verticality. Netsi, of course, suffering as well as the Catalyst Wall gives them a brief reprieve. It is going to be extremely short-lived, however, and they may still not get out of it alive as Raj is 50 HP.
03:08:42 AMW loses all his shields. There are multiple teams focusing on Nessie's low ground. The Dark Veil has dissipated and now Aurora are free to make a play. Graceful, last standing on the short edge of that beast hunt, the hunt. But when you find yourself as a solo, no catalyst to reinforce the doors and we lose out on the majority of our teams, we just have to anchor down, which is tough because knowing that there's going to be a lot of teams here at...
03:09:28 Because 07 have been the ones that are picking a lot of the engagements. Apex Warlords playing defensively right now, giving plenty of opportunity for 07 to wrap behind them. Evac Tower's still in play, by the way. Should 07 wish to circumvent this fight? It's gonna be really tough. You've got 07 to your left, Atlas towards the right, Amir Boulder for cover, and you saw just how many nades were already coming that way. Gold Nemi, sure.
03:09:56 We just have to be able to make the best of it. But I think 07 is going to wrap straight into this area. For now. I think we full send Atlas.
03:10:08 Very well could be the choice. You're gonna need a little bit more than just a crack. Some flesh damage and a real call. A lot of passion out of Shiv. That's when you know that you can really start full sending. Got another fight brewing on the opposite end though. F.A. Kids are pushing up on the Cybercats. Huge nade from Ilonzi. That was a big rap for F.A. Kids outside of zone and Ilonzi is just getting the brunt of the damage rocked down here and well.
03:10:35 If I'm CyberCats, who have been holding the south side of this zone, which, honestly, we need to stay up here and defend yourself against FA Kids and not allow anyone to challenge for this position, because this is a make or break before a top five position, in my opinion. You really cannot afford to lose this fight. Teams from below still looking to ape it as well, and Lonzi is back in the game.
03:10:58 Pulls off the shield bat, but has to back away. Cleave is down. Cybercats are in shambles. Tiff, this position was so good. This position might win the game. And FA Kids just walked in and ripped it from them. You cannot let that happen. And all of them are still up. And now ANC outplayed. Who's got the buildings? Willem.
03:11:36 Cybercats are fortunate enough to be able to stabilize well in the high ground. FA Kids do the same, prioritizing their next position. Who's going to challenge FA Kids, though? We did mention how powerful this high ground position is. They're the ones that are able to hang on to it. And I'll be honest with you, Tiff, I don't see a way for a single other team to access this high ground effectively. I like this move. I like this move a lot.
03:12:01 Drop the evac. Drop the evac. Let it sing. Maybe they'll chow for it. But in the meantime, you got Apex, Warlords, Atlas. The fight has finally occurred. We were talking, would we see this? And, well, Genji on the opening front takes about 125. Shiv gets deleted. And Zeri as well. Atlas are looking so good in this engagement and take it all through elsewhere. Alliance have unseated Navi from the tree that is just south of Pylon.
03:12:28 And completely take it over. Can they defend it though? We'll have to see. Stay healthy. Start their rap. Moving in towards the zone. Eliminating the last members of Alliance. This is critical for them. And gives some really essential shield swaps. Now it's important to see that Stay Healthy don't actually have purple shields yet. But they effectively do for just a few seconds. Maybe they can use this time with an extra bit.
03:12:54 25 HP extra to make their way in. 07 have got to be ripping the... There we go! Evac Tower just now, they're gonna be able to make it! They're not gonna be able to make it! Stop! Wait, wait, they're walking, they're walking. Do you know how hard it is to walk this? Come on, 7 seconds, Natsuki! Get in there! Amphi! Amphi's not making it! Oh no.
03:13:18 Oh no, 2 UBS is just not going to do it. Man, this could have been a good play, but the evac tower, just not quite tall enough, and 07 don't get to grab height, they don't get to grab even a spot in zone. Instead, they might get a placement point or two, but even that is looking unlucky.
03:13:41 To be fair, The Ring really said, Natsuki, no mercy? I don't think so. I am the real mercy decider. But for Atlas, who just cleaned up Apex, Warlords losing out on Zuni. Black Venom here on the screen and elsewhere. 07 has fallen to Aurora.
03:13:58 Unfortunate for them, but this is the harsher reality for a lot of teams coming out of Pylon, even next up, especially during the next zone. Very little to work with. See that charge rifle whipped out in exchange for the vault.
03:14:13 Just to protect the corner. Nice shoot the barrel to pre-start the gas. Synetic starts a swing of their own, but now is getting angled out by multiple squads. The rest of NextUp have to play very carefully. You cannot afford to fall here with every team, because there are multiple, there are three teams in this area looking to find some weakness. DMS, your winners of map number two being one of those. NextUp on the high ground, and then you've also got Eternal.
03:14:42 Bongo on your screen. FA Kids walk into one of the most powerful positions for the zone and keep on trying to make their way over towards this compound. Now you've got Zidane on the north side. ANC outplayed even Aurora. But Alonzi from Cybercats who lost that position to Pre-Agent Kids has...
03:15:17 Could cause some serious problems for Izzaden, who is otherwise sitting completely alone in a singular building, holding it for FA Kids. Next up, we're gonna start to move out. We talked about how much space they've got to cover. Let's hope the Bangalore Ult can make this a little bit easier for them. Synetic does move on to the low ground, helping his team pick up a Thirst, but they've still got a long way to go.
03:15:37 Six kills already for Synetic here, nine for NextUp. They might actually be the real true team that is NextUp as GoNex eSports fell so early on in map number five that it opens the door for GoNex to potentially grab first. DMS though, Ozus last alive. It's gonna be tough, but at least you can throw the Knuckle Clusters, even the Mortar. The Motherlode coming in and...
03:15:59 Gives them time to heal behind the knockdowns. That's the one member of CyberCats as well, swooping in from the side. They take out DMS first, getting a kill point and a placement point for their team. Huge play from Ilonzi to keep the CyberCats arguably in the game top five. Now they do go down, opening this up for FA Kids, who have had the power position for even longer since they took it from CyberCats, but now are looking down on ANC Outplayed, next up, and Aurora.
03:16:54 ANC Outplayed again, just playing the placement. Really, really, really hard. Blue Shields right now cannot stand toe-to-toe with any of the remaining squads outside of NextUp, who have just one member left. FA Kids, prioritize the building. They're gonna try and control Aurora's swing over, and Aurora are swinging over.
03:17:17 Love that we've got kind of similar legend comps with Kiner on the lifeline here. Supply drop available for cover or just well-needed bats if they need it. Next up has fallen and into the final three. We go. FA Kids, ANC Outplayed and Aurora. You can set the stage here with the free cam shot. See where Aurora has just near cover. Have to smoke and dodge. Sending straight on to FA Kids. This is ANC Outplayed's game to win if they third party this right.
03:17:44 Oh! Oh!
03:18:13 Hey, kids, who come in for the win?
FA Kids' Game-Winning Strategy and Impressive Performance
03:18:1803:18:18 Hey, kids, do the unthinkable. If you think about how they started that zone wrap on the outskirts south of Pylon, holding that mountain, they take out Cybercats. They leave Alonzi. They know, hey, we're not going to be able to finish off Cybercats, but what we got was what we wanted. And something that you said, Dia, in that moment, because I thought it was going to be a top five position, and it was for Cybercats, you said this is the game-winning position, and they converted.
03:18:46 Incredibly well. Because playing off that high ground is nice. Controlling the building and the high ground at the same time. Great play from FA Kids. And I loved it.
03:18:56 While we talked about how their compositions are similar, FA Kids were also on the same page as Aurora. They weren't actually playing to just straight up win the teamfight to wipe out Aurora, and Aurora wasn't planning to wipe out FA Kids. Both of them were trying to bait a third party, and it was Aurora that ultimately just looked that little bit juicier in the endgame. But I am really impressed with the way that both those squads on the exact same page managed to navigate an endzone. Talk to me about this, though, because Zidane just opens fire.
03:19:25 grabs two members of Aurora. And I was like, oh my God, it's happening. Zidane, we talked about how impressive of a fragging potential that man has. And well, it literally showed in that endgame. It really did. I think it was Rain Day giving him props before the show. And I mean, incredible work from FA Kids and from Isidane as well, being able to find critical knocks when they're needed. But I think what's arguably more impressive to me is the restraint that they then showed in not...
03:19:54 Full sending two knockdown shields, risking the game as ANC Outplayed come in. And it really shows in the match results. So let's take a look at those because not only are the placement points going to favor FA Kids, but the kills that they got off of the knocks on Aurora make up the rest of it. 14 kills on top of a win makes for a 26 point game.
03:20:14 We've been getting a lot of high-valued wins here on our six-game series. But prior to this, FA Kids was in 17th place overall. So a 26-point game has to shoot them up the leaderboard, at least into the top 10. But Aurora walking away with 17, next up 15. And a lot of these high-kill games leave...
03:20:34 The rest of the lobby, not much to be desired. Alliance do walk away with 6 and 07 with that no mercy, 5 eliminations. Now, should they have been able to make that evac tower oob play? I'd be curious to see where they would have ended up, but that was kind of the bane of their existence right there.
03:20:52 Looking at the way that affects the overall leaderboards now. It's been five matches so far. One is left to unsee teams like ANC Outplayed, who now take the first place spot. We're seeing something very similar to what you caught out of Game & Gladiators just yesterday. Not quite winning games, but absolutely staying ahead of the pack. 53 points with Go Next at 52, tied with NextUp.
03:21:20 Still a lot of frags there, 23 eliminations and 30 placement points. It's just being relatively consistent throughout the entirety. But hey, maybe you're at home, you're watching these games, all the insane endgame action, and you're thinking, I can do that. Okay, well, I applaud you, Twitch Chatter, to take your IGL and fragging skills to our ALGS Challenger Circuit for Split 2. As you can see, register your trio to compete.
03:21:45 Looks like registration is going to close there on June 5th to compete from June 8th through 10th. So I want to see if you've got what it takes. And who knows, maybe one day we'll see you in the ALGS and you'll get Dia and I casting over you. Dia might even get to do a little Telestrator section on that. But who knows, we'll just have to wait and see. But speaking of wait and see, we got one more game to go. So let's go ahead and throw it to a quick break. And when we return, match number six.
Strategic Gameplay and POI Draft Analysis
03:23:4603:23:46 Welcome in, everyone. It's Sunday Fun Day, which means Apex Legends Global Series. I got Dia alongside me, and we've been breaking down all the action alongside Rain Day throughout the day. But it's just a Mia. Things are getting started, and we have one more map to go. And I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on coming into today, Dia. Is everything living up to your expectations?
03:24:08 It is exceeding my expectations, Tiff, as Apex always does. I'm really amazed, of course, at the endgames that we've gotten, but watching how the teams are playing the POI draft out strategically, I'm really enjoying, and honestly, I think it's been a great addition so far, too.
03:24:25 We're getting an Apex Competitive because we are still seeing a lot of teams that we consider to be good, great teams of the region finding chances for success, but also getting to demonstrate how you can adapt in your own games of Apex Legends when you're finding, you know, oh, I guess the open spot is Trident. How does that play out? I guess the open spot is Lightning Rod. How do we path from there? You're getting to see the best teams from all around the world do it.
03:24:52 And it's pretty valuable when you hear some coaches analytical efforts behind it, right? I think it makes the power of your team that much more prevalent here. You hear from Luke, he's like, you know, us at Gaming Gladiators, we feel confident no matter where we are going to rotate in from, whether we were able to grab Zoo Station, but this time it's Echo HQ. Knowing that the Storm Point zones like to pull south and kind of see what our teams were going for. Trojan grabbed Mill early on, Lightning Rod goes third to 07.
03:26:18 It's respectable, but honestly, I'd be really curious to see if maybe another matchday that 07 will be in. If someone decides, all right, I see you there. I'm going to actually land Lava Siphon. I'll take that child, given what I've seen. Granted, though, that squad has been impressive on the contest so long as they stay seated down. But for now, you get a good look at where those drops line out based on the POI draft. But for our teams that had got those southern zones...
03:26:45 Pylon, Next Up, Echo HQ, Cybercats, Rolling Teams, Devastated Coast. They may not seem like some of the best POIs in general, but when you don't have to go very far to get yourself in the zone, they become that much more beneficial. Speaking of POIs that may not be the best in general, what is going to happen with Exo in this game? Sending it to Wall in game number five.
03:27:11 Do they run the risk of doing that again, given that Nessies were able to come down and third party them, knowing that the contest was going to happen after Game 4? I mean, this just... This seems kind of frivolous, but also, do you really just want to play out of Trident and just have that be all that it is? I can't speak for Exo. I'm going to let their gameplay speak for themselves. It spoke in Game 5 with that quick...
03:27:39 Fakids, down Beast, over here.
03:28:04 Also...
03:28:28 ... ... ... ... ...
03:28:54 when you're playing one yourself by keeping track of what bins are opened on the map and which ones are not. Ooh, just some ways to kind of metagame this entire game that we're going to be witnessing. So we'll see where they go based upon that. And also you get to boost your Evo cache up. I'd be really curious to see who's going to fight over that Evo cache by Mil. There's one just kind of north of Mil. I feel like FA Kids is making a play for it. But once again, can we just talk about the other southern zone that we're getting, Dia?
15 Kills. Das war ein guter.
Navi's Barometer Defense and 07's Risky Plays
03:29:4003:29:40 I didn't think they were going to win it at first because when I saw the initial team that had granted so much space in the back of Barometer, but albeit that zone did start to pull just a little further back towards that building. But for now, Navi here on your screen, the team that calls Barometer home is going to have to fend off your number one team here. ANC outplayed their macros. Impressive. The ability to call endgames based off what they can here.
03:30:07 And they've already set their sights on this front building here. Funny that when we jump over to Stormpoint, ANC Outplayed go with Catalyst as well. Prioritizing buildings is not something you see a lot of on Stormpoint, but it's also something that has gotten ANC Outplayed two great positions so far. Navi find the first knock with a nade. Kind of stays alive. This should be the win for Navi, but kind of needs health.
03:30:33 Kind of has got to get that help. Will he get it? Able to at least get that shield back onto him. And Maxi with the wrap. You can see right there. Just goes towards the high ground. Hits the scan. Will be the last member going for it. Scan, the res. But here's the deal. We don't have a horizon here. Oh, we do. Tyler. Tyler can hit the grav lift.
03:30:54 And up they go, it's into the freshly rezzed bodies up top. Navi dropped back down, kind of maybe burning a little bit too much, and again have to take another reset in this fight. It's crazy how long this engagement is taking, given the advantage that Navi started with.
03:31:12 I get so excited when we see literally one of the only few Horizons come through in Na'Vi, because a lot of our teams, they're not going to maybe think that we'll have that grav lift in play to be able to go towards the high ground and immediately push that res, but as soon as you see it, just the way that they try to counteract it. But for now, we'll check in with Barometer later, because Lightning Rise getting Mixy, Natsuki off the grav cannon. He falls, and Zayn tries to get a well-needed full and a shield swap.
03:31:41 Bit of a who's trapped in here with who situation. 07 absolutely went for this, believing that they would just ape one member. And while they did, losing Natsuki was not part of the game plan. Amphi, though, almost finds the secondary knock. There should be a Catalyst Reinforced in some way on this door. But instead, Amphi gets damage traded back on them instead of the Reinforced Door and cleans up Nessies in the process.
03:32:04 Good bye, Nessie. Some well-needed No Mercy-esque style KP. Now, let's see how you take that towards the rest of the game. Next up, want to come in first place on their first iteration here, but Aurora in the mixed at-list as well. Third place, though. They've got a lot of room to go up.
03:32:29 We've got plenty of space, time and barometer, especially when you're on the high ground like this. To plan out what your move will be, what the power position that you want to play for is. It's interesting to see next up moving so far back into barometer, even if it is for these kills, because they're giving up a lot of the space ahead of them.
03:32:46 It is possible to hang on to a bit of the high ground, especially at this point in the game, but once you hit places like Ring 3, you do have to be worried about the hermit crab principle that Hodzik had talked about ages and ages ago in Apex Legends, that when you move from a spot, it's very likely in Apex Legends, in competitive Apex Legends, that somebody's going to come in right behind you and take it from you.
03:33:09 I like that, Hadsig with the big brain. I do love watching his VOD reviews when we get so blessed to see them. And it's nice to see them find a home as well. We spent a lot of time with them out in L.A., having them on the desk. But for 07 here, in real time, if we don't recover this banner for Nasky, we're not getting them back. And honestly, eight seconds to heal, and we still have to climb up to be able to grab that banner and funk from a high ground over here from kneecap.
03:33:37 Might be able to take an angle and deny that. I'd be curious to see. Nice bit of revenge from Kneecap as well. They come up here. Thirst a member of 07. Know that 07 are gonna want that banner back. And Amphi springs right into the trap. Kneecap are ready for this. Arcstar is all prepared for Amphi. And he does not get to stay on the ground. I don't even know if his feet touched it before he was knocked.
03:34:01 You know that's one of the moments mid-Grav Cannon when you just see Funk on your left shooting at you and you're just like, it's happening. And now Tolkien takes the Grab Cannon back. Zayn up on the opposing end answers with a rolling thunder. What are we going to do? Because we did get the, we do get Natsuki back into it though. Ooh, Tolkien goes low as well. That is a Zayn special right there. Being able to do that much damage right back and make this a 2v2.
03:34:31 Natsky finds the Thirst, which means he's now got hop-ups, attachments, everything that he was missing. And Kneecap have got to head for the hills, but they've got to head right through 07 who are underneath them. The only thing I'm worried about is Natsky coming back on and will only have two syringes. But you mentioned it, you called it out, you grabbed that well-needed loot, find three medkits. Everything should be okay for the time being. Let's jump into a listen and to hear how they're navigating this.
03:34:59 Wir müssen den letzten Mannen töten!
03:35:05 28, 28, oh mein Gott, we can't get ya. They're just gonna camp, we fucking cringe modes. I'm not kidding, I'm gonna die to zone otherwise. Fucking cringe, wait, come on, take the cannon, take the cannon, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it
03:35:34 Ich habe nur Heels. Oh, ich habe nur Heels. Ich habe nur Heels. Ich habe nur Heels.
03:35:45 So close, yet so far away. That's tough, right? But some things to be said about that listen that we got from 07 there, Dia. How cool, calm, and collected that Zayn is, even in a dire situation. Really did play that well, and arguably saves the whole team there. If you don't find that trade on Rev super early on...
03:36:08 There's no way that 07 lived through that engagement. Now, however, the question is whether they can live through the ring that's closing in, and I gotta ask the same questions of Aurora, who trapped in Zone are, I would say, more comfortable with this playstyle than many others, but are still gonna be tanking a lot of damage off of the ring nonetheless.
03:36:28 That's very true. And it's interesting, right? But that makes sense for them. They're used to playing hard edge and fighting their way in. So maybe tanking zone and arriving towards the endgame late is more their style. We don't necessarily want to get into Barometer just yet. And it does shift towards the left side of Barometer, which is a very unique.
03:36:48 Take for any barometer zones that we're going to be witnessing here. And honestly, Dia, so many pathways that we'll likely see specifically from FA Kids kneecap and 07 hitting that evac tower out of command. I think they should be able to make it more or less into zone 07 should be able to hit right around Seto.
03:37:07 If they survive through the whole journey and entering the ring just now, it looks like they may. DMS are going back for the singular banner that they left behind. Are we going to time out in terms of the ring, however? That's a scary question. That would be unique. We've got the evac. They haven't been in the ring for that long. They just dipped back in, but I suppose we'll find out.
03:37:57 Scan will give away the information and we're just going to go so under fire here. A tough situation for Alliance looking to break into the top five after this sixth game. The fact that none of these grenades are connecting for any damage is keeping them so healthy right now. Not just because they don't have to heal through the damage, which is obvious, but because...
03:38:17 If nobody is doing damage on either side of them, nobody is sending on either side of them. You can see everyone playing super respectfully, even around the duo of Alliance, even with the smoke expenditure, even with the wall expenditure. Speaking of wall expenditures, we've got another one going on by 07.
03:38:32 Oh, 7, finally make their way in, but job's not done. They've got to get through this choke point. Nihilize eSport here in a 3v2 already. Vifes, Rakafaka, Hanzo here wanting to take angles. Look at that. We've got it. Can we connect it right there immediately? The Nemi, once it starts charging up to full force, it just eats away at the health and a nade to hit for 100. Nihilize should be able to clean this one up.
03:38:57 Up the zipline we go, and Rakafaka gets to move through the ferrofluid completely unhampered. Dropdown from Jehanzo means that 07 are no more, and they don't even make the 15th cutoff. Going on 16th instead, that means no placement points went the way of 07. It is only the kills they were able to collect off of Nessie, and... Who was it that was fighting up there? Kneecap.
Exo's Third-Party Timing and Falcons' Endgame Strategy
03:39:2503:39:25 Yeah, crazy, but here comes Exo, as to be expected, a well-timed third party, and here we go, the scan, the beast of the hunt, the evac, and oh, the play on the zip here, Slayers grabs it off, going to Hanzo, sets their sights, letting the disruptors do the talking.
03:39:42 Oh, yes, and connects right after with the 30-30. That is one squad that has been torn apart on the edge of Zone. Nine lines go down, and it is just in time for Exo to start booking it into Zone. They do not have a lot of help. They do not have a lot of time. Zone 3 will chew through you. ExoClan from 11th place now over to FA Kids, who made a large jump.
03:40:07 After that map 5 win with 14 eliminations. Looking for more though. The journey for here is just getting started. Let's open things up with that arc start. We've got a knock on the opposing side and it does connect with a blue knock. Not going to get the full but the snuff to give the distraction to hit the swing and DMS has fallen. That's your fourth place squad. We already knew how close the top three were in terms of points coming into map number six. Outplayed 53 points. Go next 52. Next up 52.
03:40:35 I have no idea what's going to happen for this endgame, but it's going to be important to clear out your side and play this Barrow Zone that pulls out of Barrow. It's really wild that FA Kids are approaching from the perfect side. This looks like a really great game for them. Could even be yet another win if they play their cards right. Control the bridge is going to be the most important thing, but go next. Are also looking to pick up another win, and with just FA Kids next to them, this 3v3 could be the one for the win.
03:41:04 This is important. If they fall here, there's a like chance that they fall out of first place. So for them to invest the Dark Veil, they've got a turbocharger at Havoc as well. And Slab takes the brunt of the damage on that first push with Beast of the Hunt. And if you're going up against Kiner and Zidon, it's going to be a tough fight to go down Slab. Last chance effort for them. If they lose this fight, they likely lose first place.
03:41:58 Oh, next up. This would be the squad that would be able to take down first place if they can just reset. They finish off rolling teams here and are trying to make the reses that they need, but Exoclan has moved in on top of them here at Barometer. Now, mind you, when we looked at the zone, this is not India. Doesn't look particularly comfortable for Exoclan moving in from the south side.
03:42:24 They've really got no place to play. Trojan is controlling. The Nut Building ahead of them. Next Up is rotating and mirroring the last member of Exo. Nine squads left. We should be dropping down to five, maybe even fewer in the next minute. Well, think about what Next Up did on their first showing in A and B. Second place overall. They want to best it. They only want to go up. And this early move to the opposing side of the bridge. But you have to contest with Nut Building for now. The Caustic Gold is a throw.
03:43:05 Looking at this, there's no way that the Weakened next up survives. ANC Outplayed, moving out of their building, have found a place in the ring. I'm not even surprised that they've done it at this point, but I am surprised that they crossed so much open ground to be able to make it happen. They're sitting right next to Cybercats as next up do go down.
03:43:25 The Fallen, a potential second place, will be their inevitable ending. And all sites are on ANC Outplayed, who may secure an overall if they can just keep alive. For now, this outskirts that we're dealing with, I'm not caster cursing them, I swear, I'm not Shex in trouble.
03:43:47 It's okay, it's not your fault. There's no building, there's no safety. ANC Outplay will be lucky to get out of the top few seconds alive. And lucky they were not. That was the nice send. Stay healthy. You have to keep moving forward. The Cybercats now lie just ahead of them. Let's take a look at this endgame. Trojan controlling the high ground. Should be able to play through the bridges. There are a few boxes there. FA Kids are going to have to play.
03:44:19 It's all going to hinge on the next couple of seconds. This car providing critical cover to Trojan. It's three squads left. Can they run back to back? Eight eliminations so far moving into the final matchup. 49 points overall. Now granted, probably need another 15 to make a play for first place, but it will be close.
03:44:47 F.A. Kids have this Rock to play, which is more than I had given them credit for. This normally not a great spot, but with the Rock, with the Lifeline Care Package, technically indestructible cover, says every Lifeline ever in Ranked.
03:45:01 This is actually going to turn into a miraculously good spot for them. If pits stay healthy against Trojan, what is shocking to me, however, Tiff, is that no one has taken the underside of Bridge since Cybercats originally sat there. And ultimately, you are going to want to play the stairs at some point. Trojan can't do it. FA kids don't want to cross in front of Trojan, but when you actually get underneath this bridge...
03:45:25 You've got a good chance, especially if you are FA Kids with the lifeline of holding out the other squads and pitting them against each other. Yeah, this is top of I'm Trojan, knowing that the pool is not in my favor and we're going to be one of the ones that have to walk first. We spend this well needed 40 seconds or so trying to come up with a plan.
03:45:48 I'm really wondering, like, what's going on in everybody's heads right now. Stay healthy, really can't hold on to their spa for very long. They've got a Bangalore if they want to smoke the cross. I don't see a reason why they wouldn't. But are they thinking about playing for second? Are they thinking about sending on FA kids? It looks like they're trying to pressure FA under the bridge, actually, with this smoke. So maybe baiting in that fight to try and pull the Aurora FA.
03:47:22 They want to hit the third-party remix here. Minimal ammo in that, but they've got a Devo in the back pocket, just waiting to drop down with it. Speaking of drops, we've lost out on Atenham, and the PK from Nyx FA Kids has fallen. This means we're looking at a 3v2. You know Stay Healthy has to come up. I like the gatekeeping with the Peacekeeper, but over from the side, in comes Falcons with the E!
03:47:46 Ewa in the Hemlock to clinch the win. That is how you play an endgame. That is how you make the other squads do your dirty work for you. Falcons, man, has a nice ring to it. Rain Day was toying with the SEO optimization when you Google Apex Falcons, but this is the real Falcons that we care about for Emiya. And what a play from not just him, but the rest of the team. Stay healthy.
03:48:14 Expending their cooldowns in just the right way. Playing with Firetip. Because whenever you are catwalling towards a team like FA Kids, you've got to take into account that they actually might see you as enough of a threat that they commit to the fight as well. So they catwall, they smoke, they play under the bridge expecting that Trojan are just going to be a little thrown off. Not ready for the swing to play underneath. And then once they're under the bridge, like we were talking about, that power position.
03:48:42 So incredibly good in an Endzone like this, because you don't actually have to fight anybody, you just have to make the other teams look more delicious. You just gotta get on stairs with an Eva 8 and swing, let's be real, that's all it was to it. We saw the PK Habits moments, but then he was like, nah, nah, nah, let me show you the power of the Eva 8, my man. This is a real shotgun.
03:49:02 But overall, six games done and dusted Dia. What a while. I feel like we just started here today, and I'm kind of sad that we're already over with our six EMEA games. I will say, Tiff, to make you feel a little better, we are going to have six more games later today over in North America. So while I'm one for the fact that EMEA is done, I'm also celebrating the fact that we got to see...
03:49:27 Group C come out and give this strong of a showing for their first matchday. Split 2, now that we've technically seen all the groups, if not all the matchups, is looking really good. It is looking really good. And what's looking really good while we wait for our results here, actually, production just told me they're ready. Let's go ahead and roll it because the top three teams ahead of this game were so incredibly close with each other. And how did it pan out?
Match Day 2 Results and Team Performance Analysis
03:49:5303:49:53 For our teams. Stay healthy. 21 points. Trojan 20. That's heavy hitting. That's a point sponge. That's an Elim sponge. A third of the lobby eliminated just from the top two teams. Nefe kids continue to claw their way up the leaderboard. Last win was good for them. Getting a top three position again is going to be great. Now ANC outplayed. Landing in fifth place may not look super flashy, but it should keep them in the top couple of squads just because they hurt.
03:50:21 I don't even know how they're doing it, but it seems like they're just always in top five. Yeah, it's kind of crazy, though. CyberCats, they made a play for that underside of the bridge early on, but sometimes you can take a position that would be beneficial for Endgame, but if you take it slightly too early, you're just going to grab everyone's attention as we roll down to the outside, 11th through 20th place of our team's 07. Four eliminations, albeit ran through the gauntlet.
03:50:49 I love that early game. Overall, 07 had an alright day. I would not say it's been a great showing from them. And a lot of that hinges on the fact that while their 3v3s are super impressive, and you are seeing that they are putting up kills all the time, they are hardly ever getting placement points. And I'm surprised to see Alliance actually joining them, but with even less kills. Stormpoint, for as kill heavy as we expected it to be, didn't really favor...
03:51:14 The teams that were expected to be taking 3v3s and winning 3v3s. So much of the narrative, and great job, guys, as I introduce myself back in here to wrap things up, is about how you can stay consistent over these weeks. Sometimes teams, though, who start out as favorites end up having their lumps happen at the beginning of the season and then pick up momentum later on. Ideally, if you are a competitive team, you do want to be picking up momentum.
03:51:40 We had a few teams have a chance to start off strong in game four and of course, finish strong in five and six. So let's walk through what happened in our final circles at the second half of our match day. Number two, it would start off with a very great
03:52:30 3v1. It was a valiant effort. The rolling teams would get their dub and that would help them out for the rest of the day to secure a pretty decent position in match day number two. But if as we head into match five, we'd have a different winner, of course, as well. We really did. And FA Kids, they played the entirety of this mid-map to perfection. Mind you, they hit that negative rotate out of zone to wrap around on CyberCats ahead of this, who finished outside the top three, despite this moment here.
03:52:57 Aurora fakes this fight, and it's not like a fake fight, right? We want to bait that third party and not take a lot of damage, but it's Zidane who grabs an angle here on Aurora and actually picks off Oiren and Hardecki, leaving 9 Impulse to themselves, which really opens the door to focus on this, because once your lifeline's down, you're not going to have any random resets through the endgame. Shex, forgetting about the window, gets taken aback.
03:53:20 Andy Jacks, Last Standing, and Fakids throughout all of this engagement just stays more healthy than the rest as they full send to clean up Nine Impulse. And then Fakids just does the rest of it, breaks out the broom, but that's not all the action, Dia. No, I mean, Game 6 really continued the...
03:53:41 ...pattern that we had established, or I guess the first instance that we had in game number five of letting other teams take the fights for you, because that is exactly what Stay Healthy did, moving on underneath the bridge. This one was a little bit less of a bait and switch and more of it just like, well, we're not there, so who are you really going to engage with? And while FA Kids go down, Trojan do still lose out on a lot of HP because of it, letting Stay Healthy take the 3v2 and really...
03:54:07 Finde a fantastic win to take them all the way up the leaderboards to fourth place. Well, a huge day as we get our series results for Match Day 2 in EMEA. It's ANC Outplayed who will outplay the rest of the lobby and take the victory.
03:54:23 A very impressive performance. For those who wanted memory of what happened January 21st in round one of our split one, ANSI Outplayed were actually able to take the second spot there as well. So they have a strong start to these splits. It's just a matter of can they keep it up and no first place either. So this will put them in a different position than they even did last split. Next up, go next FA Kids and DMS round out our top five.
03:54:48 But Dia, it was very close throughout the day. It was pretty neck and neck, even into that final game, as to who would take this one. I wasn't entirely sure whether it would be NextUp or ANC, but NextUp, taking a risk, taking a fight against FA Kids ended up being their critical mistake. I mean, man, have they done incredibly well so far. But now having played two series, they're sat at 42 points overall, where you can look a little bit further down at FA Kids.
03:55:26 Yeah, I mean, next up, Tiff, with third place yesterday and obviously, I believe, a second place here today. It was an impressive performance from them. On the backside, though, what's the storyline that you're seeing? Obviously, Alliance, they only played one day. There's some teams like Vex who performed well in day one, didn't have a good, obviously didn't have a chance to play today as well. So what are you looking at when we look at the bottom ten?
03:55:48 I like to think of this day as just let the rust shake out, take in what's going to happen with the POI draft, how it worked out for you. Alliance, at the end of the day, still had a better finishing position than they did in the regular season of Split One, so I'm not worried about it. When you think of Alliance, you know going the distance they're going to be at LAN, and we just need to kind of iron.
03:56:08 What this regular season is going to look like. 07 here though. Really, it's kind of uncharacteristic. And I did just see Nasky kind of tweet out, you know, this was my worst performance in pro league ever. So how do you kind of bring back going forward? Because they are not going to be happy at all about this. Yeah, they're not. I don't know. Is there an answer for that? I mean, sometimes, you know, you just got to take it.
03:56:32 As your personality, obviously Natsky is not someone to sit in the back, so he's going to say things, he's going to be confident, he'll be vocal, but obviously sometimes that means you've got to be vocal when things don't go your way.
03:57:10 because of complications. Ultimately, being able to keep that mindset going is something that I have faith in 07 that they can do really no matter what.
ANC Outplayed's Victory and Team Synergy
03:57:2003:57:20 I certainly have faith as well. And part of it is just finding the synergy. You know, there's obviously so little disparity in terms of actual talent. All of these players, if you put them in any lobby, would probably get 20 kills and finish first with their eyes closed in a normal game of Apex Legends. So skill isn't really the issue, but how do you have the synergy there? And how do you build on that when things don't go well? And obviously when things do go your way. And speaking of somebody who had things go their way, ANC Outplayed, they made some historic moves.
5,000 damage, 10 kills, 12 assists.
03:59:15 No, it's been massive, right? A lot of the things that Dia and I were noticing throughout all of our series here today is just what ANC Outplay brings to the table in terms of their zone-calling capabilities, their prowess in getting into that endgame and setting up, whether that's swapping out the Watson for Catalyst, all moving on over to Storm Point, moving into the buildings and prioritizing holding those a bit. But at the end of the day, it's just working for them, and I hope to see that consistency throughout the regular season.
03:59:43 You know, it's always great to be able to see these teams the way that they perform and see it work out for them as well. One of the rarer, you know, kind of versions of a day where you can see squads who just have such consistency take it without the explosive wins of a team kind of maybe showing them up. But I think that's the beauty of what ANC Outplayed put together. And we actually have a chance to speak with one of the members of ANC Outplayed, our MVP for today, Shex. I don't know if we're going to video. We are. We are. All right, Shex.
04:00:12 Hey, congratulations, man, on the win. Thank you. Thank you. So, you know, I've been mentioning it. You know, you guys have been playing together a long time. All three of you are Italian, I believe. And, you know, I don't know, just with the synergy of your team, the way that you've played, you don't have the most explosive style, but you do seem to be so consistent. And today was just a great day for you all. What works so well with your team synergy to be able to put up a result and get a win here in Match Day 2?
Konsistenz.
04:01:03 Consistency, you're not wrong. It's been impressive. And the fact of the matter is you say, yes, calling zone and just playing zone. It worked out from the moment on that first World's Edge game where you guys move in under the bridge with Watson and set up. You are letting those eliminations come to you now. Granted, if anything starts to shift down the line, like what are some of the things that you are going to do to try and remain consistent throughout the regular season so we can hopefully see you in split two playoffs?
04:02:15 In Apex Legends, however, that's also very rare. You don't really see teams sticking together for as long as you guys have, especially with multiple runs through the Challenger Circuit to then make it here. So how is it that through multiple runs through the Challenger Circuit, then making it to Pro League and trying to improve there that you guys have managed to stay together? And what is the benefit of that? How would you talk to Challenger Circuit teams that also are looking for that group of three to stay together? How do they make that happen?
04:02:43 First of all, before we were a team, we are three friends. We have a good coach, which is a good friend of us as well. So being friends is the most good part about our team, because we can talk about everything. And from the Challenger Circuit team, I have to say, stick together, get confidence, get synergy, and you'll come to the top.
04:03:10 I love it because you represent something that in the fast-paced, immediate gratification world we all live in on social media and sometimes in esports, it is not always common that people stick together and they try to make things work, even when things are working or when they aren't. There's a lot of looking to the grass is greener, so congratulations on being an example.
Danke, guys.
04:03:52 All right, ANC Outplayed, certainly stuck to the namesake today. What a great day. And you're right, it's not over, Tiff, but we are ending EMEA here. So it's been an exciting one. It's given us a different look at EMEA. What has it given you in terms of thoughts to wrap up on today and get us ready for North America?
04:04:10 I'm just ready for more. And thankfully we have NA just a few short hours away, because when you start thinking about what we witnessed today and how teams are starting to adapt to that POI draft, whether or not they get first or second pick, or maybe they walk away with, you know, a 19th pick on the first round and get their second POI right away. It's just how we're going to keep adapting. Now, granted, things that we got to adapt to is obviously going to be a lot of Bloodhound and Bangalore, but what you're going to bring to the table with your choice of controller legend in the mix, or do you forego a lot of different things and just throw down?
04:04:40 Or do you grab an altar and get even crazier as well? It didn't quite work out for Alliance in the pop-up performance, but I love to see them trying things, Dia. And that's what we love to see in a day like this, where new things get exposed and we see different ways to Apex, the game that we love and we've been watching for many years. Yeah, I mean, one of the most amazing things about Apex, and even at the competitive level, has been that you can really...
04:05:05 Ich liebe es. Ich liebe es. Ich liebe es. Ich liebe es. Es ist eine große Herausforderung.
04:05:30 Day and age, you can really focus on something you're passionate about, that you like, your style of game, your characters that feel like they fit your personalities and still find success. You do not have to mirror what other people are doing at the top. You can carve your own path, and that's a beautiful thing, and it's great to see ANC outplayed represent that one. Zone team, no wins today, but still take the W on this match day, number two. TFT, I get some rest. We'll be back at it in just a little bit with North America. Thank you so much for the commentary throughout today.
04:05:59 Vielen Dank.
04:06:06 I've been Rain Day. That was Spider Tiff and Dia. Thanks to the broadcast.
04:06:35 Vielen Dank für's Zuschauen.
