00:28:29 Prior to the Pro League regular season, each team receives a random assortment of draft picks for matchdays 1 through 9. The assortment is perfectly equal, meaning if a team receives the first draft pick, they'll also receive the 40th draft pick on that matchday. This draft style is called a snake draft, and the order of draft picks changes with each matchday, which means that teams may not always get their preferred POI.

00:28:56 On Draft Day, each team will make two draft picks, one Storm Point drop spot and one World's Edge drop spot. Strategizing is crucial, as drop spots on both maps are up for grabs at the same time. There will always be more drop spots than teams, which means that even if you're the last pick, you'll have multiple options to choose from.

00:29:17 Once a POI is chosen, it's off-limits to all other teams for that match series. On match day, each team is dropped from an individual dropship above their drop spot. It is a whole new ALGS.

00:29:32 Speaking of the former TSM, who faced a lot of contesting at LAN, this would be a completely different situation in Split 2 with this system, like EA, like 07. A lot of big names had that problem. We'll see if that continues. It may not.

Starting off the day, obviously, with our first three games on World's Edge before we transition onto Storm Point. And honestly, it's a scary task because, like you said, there's momentous changes in terms of the NA meta, right? With the huge super team pickup of Team Fountains right now. And I feel like it's a privilege.

If you take a look at World's Edge, typically, yeah, that thermal station tree side.

00:34:58 Players can try and stretch their jump to really contest that extra beacon or that extra loot there. You're also looking at like Cliffside. That northeast side of Stormpoint is another point of contention where teams can max out their dropship, their flight path to try and get that extra loot or you'll see an early fight. So that is another thing that you do have to consider. While we don't have direct 50-50 contests, moments like that can still happen.

And so many squads have already gotten ahead of the curve to rotate there because we know how volatile that circle could be when the squads that are stuck over by Countdown or by Skyhook inside these buildings where a lot of teams could coexist end up.

This is a huge POI. It takes a while for you to get out. A lot of Complexity to come in, but...

But that's also why we're seeing a lot more of the catalyst come into play. So when that wall is up, you can block that entire side of the lobby so that way you can get a better rotation.

It's already a really strong position to hold because you do have a lot of nice headshot angles, but having that extra F cover to play around was massive for them, bringing in the Loba as well. I've always based my gameplay entirely in, like, fundamentals and macro. And the POI draft, like, really rewards teams for being good consistently with their macro. So it plays a little bit to my favor, whether we're able to make it work this split or not is to be seen.

They wasted no time to rotate here.

So we have to see, take a look at what they're going to end up doing here with that composition to see if they can get the most distance on that Skyward Dive or even an Evac Tavern if they want to save it on top of that Command Center. But even looking at other squads that have chosen their POIs here for Stormpoint.
