My name is Dia, and I am joined by Vicky on this wonderful, for me it's a very sunny day, but this wonderful day where we will be staying inside because we've got some quads to watch here at the Quad Up Invitational. Vicky, we've got $50,000 on the line and a lot of chaos incoming.
00:15:25 Absolutely. Look, lucky for me here, it is also sunny outside. Pretty hot, though, and I don't want to hang out in the heat. Instead, we can see the heat play it off here in quads, because after my experience playing in quads, it's been the best embodiment of the chaos that you could expect playing some Apex Legends. And why not bring some of the best creators out here in the scene, some of the best players, to compete against one another?
00:15:47 Ever since this was announced with the launch of the Double Take event, I was really excited to try it out. I still haven't gotten the chance to try out the quad controller composition, and that's mostly because movement has really been driving me recently. I've picked up Pathfinder since the event, and Vicky, for the first time in my life, I am experiencing the miracle of flight.
00:16:07 Pathfinder changes. The Revenant changes. I mean, you can literally just find yourself teleporting across the map at this point here too. Especially looking at the maps that we have in store for us later today, Diem. But I'm wondering how these different compositions are going to come into play while looking at the way that our competitors have had a few days to figure out what works out best for them.
00:16:27 Exactly, they're just being thrown into this, although in a lot of ways, you could say that they are. They're going to be adapting to a lot of variables. Let's take a look at some of the maps, some of the ways that we're going to be playing, because this isn't, say, your standard game of Apex Legends. It's not going to play out like Drank. It's not even going to play out like a regular game of Quads, because we'll be moving through, as you alluded to earlier, Vicky, three different maps through the course of the day.

And then we get to end the day with new reform, Broken Moon from this current season for our final two games. It will be Random Royale, which means that teams will be shifting per two games. So that's something to look out for because that means that we're going to have different sets of teams for each of these maps that we're going to be having.

So even though we're playing six games, we're not waiting till the end to distribute all the prizing. Prizes are actually given out on a per-game basis. And so being able to adapt to a lot of different people, different personality types, that's going to be your friend, Vicky.

Also really excited for the pairing of Naughty and Samurai Sky, whose personalities should bounce off each other really well. So Saucer, Snipe Down, Shred Stacks, and Reps are going to be your captains.

Let's take a look at the last three teams that will be joining us for the first round because this is where having big personalities and being a big streamer does actually tend to lean us towards talking more. You and I both know this, Vicky. We're commentators. We talk all the time. But when there are four people trying to win a game of Apex Legends, not everyone can talk at the same time.

I did notice from my experience in quads that you could easily get people split up into two groups of two in different POIs to make sure nobody's just caught slapping. So imagine all that space that the Ash Utility and then the Ballistic Utility could come into play. I mean, me personally, something that I've been liking when it comes to enjoying quads has been sticking. I usually play very entry frag, trying to get a lot of information. But I've now resorted to more so like life.

I didn't think about putting, I don't know what went through my mind, but originally I liked it only with a one-time scope, and then when I started utilizing more, the three-times HCOG, I really liked that too. But now that you get to respawn with those scopes in quads, now imagine where you were literally blind, you can't see anything when you come down from the dropship. Now you come in with attachments.

You may not have the ammo because you just got respawned, but you also have three other bodies there to keep you cover and to hold down wherever position you gotta hold down if you're at a disadvantage. So making there be extra heads and certain chokes will allow you to also go in for a full reset in an easier way.

More so, I was more excited to see the Pathfinder and Revenant changes, because I love holding forward in any game that I play, so that's allowed me to get way more aggressive. We have to see if maybe we'll see any Bloodhounds in this lobby. Of course, I kind of treat the scan now as the same equivalent to when you see a Catalyst wall in front of your face. You know what you can scan, what you can't scan at that point.

But I will say, I miss seeing Caution on Pathfinder, because if you watch their streams, you know that this is a Pathfinder that can style. And unfortunately now, it's going to be a little bit more about throwing grenades. Maybe we'll make a new name here.

They're a really mountainous area, so like you're talking about, you don't take that perk, you're not making it over a lot of otherwise passable terrain for somebody like Valkyrie.

You may have talked to each other, you've likely seen each other in the circles of the Apex Legends content creator community, but you may not be exactly all tied in together, all rotating together, holding hands. Valkyrie does literally force you as a Legend to say, alright everyone, now we're done.
